It's going to be a tough battle between the two Mercedes', certainly that last lap in Q2 Lewis Hamilton really pulled it out of the bag, a couple of tenths quicker than his team-mate.

Don't rule out the Ferraris as they have looked strong but I'm interested to see as well Max Verstappen.

Sergio Perez was knocked out of Q1 in qualifying, he told Sky Sports: "I definitely wanted more today and it felt like we were making some progress but it's not enough in the end and it turned out to be quite a disappointing one."

On the race tomorrow, he added: "I think the race pace looked more competitive yesterday than we were earlier on so I'm looking forward to it."

The radio team in Las Vegas are just experiencing a few technical gremlins at the moment, so don't worry if your feed of the commentary has cut out. They'll hopefully be back up and running shortly.

  14. Still waiting for Q3 to startpublished at 07:03 Greenwich Mean Time

The safety of Franco Colapinto and clear track for Q3 to take place on is the number one priority right now. However, the tired eyes are starting to sting now, so if race control could give us an update as to when we can get going again, that would be fantastic.

Access denied to the photographs now. Williams have shut-up shop on Colapinto's side of the garage in order to assess the damage to his car.

That was an awfully large impact that Colapinto made. No wonder the car looks in such a state - there is not much left of it.

You have to feel for those mechanics, Andrew. Franco Colapinto's huge impact with the wall means the repair bill is going to be significant once again.

Williams have posted this update: "Absolutely gutted but we’re thankful Franco is okay.

"Devastating for the team following a tough qualifying with things looking positive after FP3. Our crew are in for a long night but we will do our best to come back stronger tomorrow."

I'm quite surprised by the pace of the McLarens, they've had a decent couple of practice sessions.
