    We've left Belgium and headed back to France with the breakaway three minutes and nine seconds clear of the peloton. We've got 21km until we reach the cobbles. Oh the tension.

    As we approach the first section of cobbles, at 87km, expect the speed to increase dramatically as riders race to get good position going into the narrow cobbled lanes.

    Alexander Kristoff, who narrowly missed out on the stage win yesterday, has crashed, along with Rudy Molard.

    They're both back on their bikes and are making their way back to the peloton.

    Meanwhile, up front, the breakaway have a lead of two minutes and 37 seconds with 59km gone.

    Joe from Warrington: Rode the aptly named Tremola cobbled mountain pass over the Gotthard in Switzerland last year. Ended up with a snapped chain, two punctures and a bad back, worth it for the views though!

    Mark in Stoke Newington: I got so carried away on descent into the Trough of Bowland that the moment I saw the upcoming left-hander I knew that me and the bike were not going round it! The rest is hazy, and I remain very grateful to those who scooped me off the tarmac and the staff of Royal Preston Hospital who sewed my face and knees back together.

    Omega Pharma - Quick-Step rider Tony Martin, who was part of the breakaway, has gone down along with Janier Acevedo.

    They're being chased by a two-man counter attack, with the peloton 86-seconds adrift.

    Meanwhile, Team Sky are doing a great job hauling Chris Froome back into contention. They're just 30 seconds behind the peloton.

    So Chris Froome is part of a seven-man group which is 59 seconds second behind the peloton and two minutes and 27 seconds adrift of the nine-man breakaway.

    A second crash in two days won't do anything for the Briton's confidence.

    Team Sky give Chris Froome a new bike and he's soon back on his way, with three team-mates for company.

    Keeping with tradition, as he's the defending champion, the peloton won't attack and he should be able to catch the field back up.
