  1. No cheating now boyspublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

The escapees have just reached a fork in the road. Nuits-Saint-Georges was off to the right, with the number 16 next to it.

They, of course took the left fork. They've got 57km to go and there are no shortcuts when you've got this many television cameras on you.

  3. Interesting Tour fact #427published at 15:12 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

According to Le Tour's website: When Dylan van Baarle reached the top of Cote d'Urcy, he clocked 300km in a breakaway since the start of the Tour de France in Dusseldorf, having also raced clear on stage two.

However, even if he reaches the finish in front today, he won't equal Frederik Backaert's 391km in two breakaways, on stages three and six.

  4. The fun to comepublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

We are anticipating the crosswind to hit any time from around 30km to go.

  5. Largest breakaway?published at 15:07 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

I'm going to need your help with this one. #bbccycling if you know?

  6. Bouet takes polka pointpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

Fortuneo-Vital Concept rider Maxime Bouet jumps out of his saddle and few stomps on the pedals later he is cresting the summit first.

The lead increases a little, going out to two minutes, 45 seconds. But with 65km of racing left, don't expect them to stay clear all the way to Nuits-Saint-Georges.

  7. On the climbpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

Dylan van Baarle is leading the escapees up the Cote d'Urcy. It's not particularly steep and you can tell that by the fact that back in the peloton Andre Greipel is still up near the front!

Who fancies the King of the Mountains point on top of the hill?

  8. Cycling look-a-likespublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

I don't mind a few more of these. Although surely Fabio Aru cannot possibly look like any more people? #bbccycling

  9. 70km remainingpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

Just 4km from the category four hill that is, bizarrely, not even the highest point on today's race.

Both Simon Brotherton and Rob Hayles think the wind could split the peloton before we reach the end of the race.

They are in agreement that we will get another sprint finish but there may be several bunches of riders spread down the road.

The leaders are two minutes clear.

  11. Roglic hits the deck...againpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

Primoz Roglic is not having a particularly happy day. The Lotto NL Jumbo rider has just crashed for the second time in about 20 minutes.

He came a cropper in the feed zone, getting his musette caught up in his spokes and he's just collided with a Direct Energie rider.

A nice rip in the backside of his shorts and a bit of road rash peeking through.

The peloton is not waiting for him though and he's got a long, lonely ride into the finish.

  12. BeSpoke at Le Tourpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

BBC Radio 5 live's OJ Borg is out filming the next instalment of his Tour de France A-Z. He's reached D. He tells me "it's muggy" out there today. That video will be with us soon.

Tonight's BeSpoke at Le Tour will be broadcast on BBC Radio 5 live between 20:30-21:00 BST. Don't worry if you miss it, there will be a podcast available and I'll link out of it in tomorrow's live text as well.

  13. 85km remainingpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

The lead is back out to just over the three minute mark.

20km or so to the day's solitary climb - the category four Cote d'Urcy which is another tiddler at 2.5km with an average graident of 4.2%.

  14. A whole team in a break?published at 14:34 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

    Hi Ben,

It just wouldn't be allowed by the rest of the riders!

  15. Live commentary under waypublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

You can, of course, still send in your thoughts on today's stage, or any questions you may have.

Simon Brotherton and Rob Hayles are just getting started with live commentary, which is available via the BBC Sport website only today.

  16. Italian cyclist in coma after crashpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

A reminder for all of us of the perilous nature of our sport.

I'm sure we all wish Italian cyclist Claudia Cretti well. The Italian is in an induced coma in hospital after crashing during the Giro Rosa on Thursday.

In light of this news, I'm going to shelve the 'are you faster than Demare' chat. Just doesn't feel quite right. Thanks for all you've sent in.

  20. Colbrelli wins peloton sprintpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 7 July 2017

Sonny Colbrelli of the Bahrain-Merida team is the first over for fifth. Michael Matthews was going full gas there but couldn't make an impression.

Looked like Alexander Kristoff over in sixth. The green jersey of Arnaud Demare picked up some minor points, trailing over about 10th overall.

Full confirmation and points when I get them.
