The cream of sprinting in this year's Tour rose to the top there and that was the closest finish we've seen.

Caleb Ewan's late kick did it again and the Australian takes his second win of this year's Tour and fifth overall.

Sam Bennett missed Michael Morkov guiding him through in the final stages but still grabbed third.

He's lost some points to Peter Sagan in the green jersey competition as it stands, though we may have to see whether the judges relegate Sagan for making contact with Wout van Aert, who ended up fourth.

Peter Sagan looks to have taken second but Wout van Aert was not happy with the Slovakian, believing he changed his line. The judges may well look at that.

    Sam Bennett finished third.

It feels like a late change of plan by Deceuninck-Quick-Step - two of their riders are up the road and will likely be able to beat Lukas Postlberger at the finish.

And if they are caught then Sam Bennett is still in contention for the bunch sprint.
