Maximilian Dornbach is the first not to take the lead, going 0.153 of a second slower than Great Britain's Joseph Truman. Interesting.

  3. Truman takes leadpublished at Men's 1km time trial

Buoyed by that Glasgow roar, Joseph Truman made a swift start and kept the momentum going, building up a lead of just more than a second over Patryk Rajkowski.

That was impressive from the 26-year-old from Hampshire. There's still four riders to come but that should put Truman in contention for a medal.

Silver medal - Great Britainpublished at Mixed C team sprint

But China get in front of Jaco van Gass on the second lap and Jody Cundy is unable to make up the deficit on the last so Great Britain have to surrender the mixed C team sprint title they won in Australia last year.

It's still a 27th para-cycling medal from these championships for GB though. Dominant.

  13. Finucane secures semi-final spotpublished at Women's sprint

Emma Finucane and Sophie Capewell helped Great Britain win silver in the women's team sprint last week and earlier competed in the individual competition.

Finucane, 20, beat Japan's Mina Sato to reach the quarter-finals before Capewell, 24, won against Taky Marie-Divine Kouame of France.

Defending champion Mathilde Gros faced last year's runner-up Lea Friedrich in the last eight and the German gained some revenge by beating the Frenchwoman 2-0.

Finucane also won 2-0 - against Canada's Lauriane Genest - to set up a semi-final clash against last year's bronze medallist Emma Hinze on Wednesday.

And although Capewell won her opening race, she lost the second by just 0.014 seconds and New Zealand's Ellesse Andrews clinched the decider by 0.536 secs.

  14. Swiss defend title, GB miss out on medalpublished at Time trial mixed relay

Ben Turner had to pull out of the British team due to illness so Josh Charlton stepped in but he pulled up early in the men's lap and got in to the support car.

Germany then nudged GB down to third, with Switzerland still on the road, and despite a mishap which saw Marlen Reusser take a tumble, she recovered to help the defending champions retain their title by 7.08 seconds.

  15. How it workspublished at Time trial mixed relay

That title that has already been decided was in the time trial mixed relay earlier, over two laps of a twisting, technical course of 20.15km in Glasgow.

Each team started with their three men going together, and once the second rider reaches the finish at George Square, the team's three women set off on their lap from the same Albion Street start house.

The combined times decided the winner, with Switzerland hoping to retain the title they won ahead of Italy and hosts Australia last year.
