What a day for Michal Kwiatkowksi and Ineos Grenadiers, who see one of their riders win on Bastille Day for a second consecutive year at the Tour de France.

Also a pretty good day for a certain Tadej Pogacar, who edged ever closer to Jonas Vingegaard's yellow jersey.

You can read about it all in our report.

I'm sadly having to abandon the race at this point but my BBC colleagues will be covering the remaining stages. Thanks for sticking with me.

You'll be able to follow Saturday's 151.8km run from Annemasse to Morzine Les Portes du Soleil from around 12:30 BST.

    It should be another belter.

Now this is what going to be served up on Saturday on a huge weekend in the Alps.

Three category one climbs up the Col de Cou, Col du Feu and Col de Ramaz feature on a hearty mountain stage during which the peloton is unlikely to spend too much time enjoying the views of Lake Geneva at the start of the stage, with about 4,200m of climbing ahead.

The Col de Joux Plane could see further fireworks in the race for the yellow jersey, albeit the high speed and technical descent to the finish in Morzine may also play a significant role.

You can read all about what is coming and recap on the race so far in out stage-by-stage and results guide.

  3. ' I had the best legs I’ve had in my life'published at 16:46 British Summer Time 14 July 2023

Stage 13 winner Michal Kwiatkowski: "I was not alone, I had 18 friends in the break. We had a nice advantage before the final climb. That was a crazy experience.

"The break had a free ticket to the bottom of the climb, but I didn’t think we could make it to the finish because UAE was pulling hard behind.

"We didn’t want to miss any big break, like every day. We try to go on every group in order not to be caught out by a dangerous move. UAE let too many guys up front, whereas I found out I had the best legs I’ve had in my life.

"I didn’t believe it was possible, but here I am winning atop Grand Colombier. I have bad memories with Egan Bernal here, thinking of quitting the race. Whereas the stage with Richard Carapaz at La Roche was full gas, and we only enjoyed final 15km.

"Today, the final climb was very long – the most brutal effort in my life. Without the fans, this win wouldn’t have been possible. I didn’t have the car behind me, so couldn’t hear the gaps. The fans helped me all the way to the finish."
