One of the few drawbacks of winning a gold medal is the never ending media interviews you have to do.

GB' shot put world champion Aled Davies looked thoroughly shattered this afternoon as he was dragged between camera, to interviewer to microphone.

    It's a treble for the Hug-ster.

Marcel Hug of Switzerland comfortably wins the 5,000m to add to his 1,500m and 800m titles in London.

Rawat Tana of Thailand is second, with German Alhassane Balde third.

Some quotes now from Dutch sprinter Marlou van Rhijn, who has just taken the gold in the women's 200m T44.

She tells BBC Radio 5 live: "It's amazing. What's especially amazing is to do it here in this stadium where I won my first ever gold medal.

"I really liked it in the rain. It gives you this feeling where you have to give everything. It's like a battle of the toughest. I'd like to have won the 100m but it wasn't to be and I gave this one my all."

    Women's 200m T44

The conditions are horrendous, and the championships are ending in heavy rain.

Netherlands' Paralympic and world champion Marlou van Rhijn, as expected, takes the gold, but it is a sad ending for Canadian Marissa Papaconstantinou, who pulls up injured halfway down the finish straight, but, with tears in her eyes and looking in a lot of pain, manages to cross the line accompanied by a great reception from the home crowd.

Not long after Sammi Kinghorn was lapping up the glory this morning, it was time for BBC Sport to take to the track.

The media race, hosted by the International Paralympic Committee, was a tense affair.

A 4x100m relay, with the two straights run by a blindfolded runner and a guide.

The BBC team of JJ Chalmers (former Invictus athlete), Allison Curbishley (former Olympic runner), Kate Grey (a former para-swimmer), Tom Gayle (a decent junior runner in his day), George Cummins (a radio producer of no athletic repute) and me (a sport journalist of no athletic repute) clocked the fastest time.

And I got to bring us home inside the London Stadium. Boyhood dream stuff.

    Women's 100m T53 - gold for Great Britain's Sammi Kinghorn

    BBC Radio 5 live

Sammy Kinghorn, who has just won 100m gold after her 200m T53 success earlier in the week, has just spoken to BBC Radio 5 live.

She said: "I literally had no idea where I finished. I was staring straight across the line. I heard the roar so I thought I must have medalled but had no idea where. I can't believe it

"I know my start is really fast now. I swapped gloves a few times because of the weather - was it going to rain? 16.65 seconds - I'm so happy with that.

"I felt like halfway down I panicked a bit and I have some scrapes on my arm from slipping slightly."

On her 800m, which takes place at 18:51 BST, she adds. "You don't know where you'll come in the 800m because its tactics so I'll get myself in a good position and hope for a sprint finish."

    Women's 100m T53 - gold for Great Britain's Sammi Kinghorn

    Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson
11-time Paralympic champion on BBC Radio 5 live

That was an amazing race from Sammi. Angela Ballard (who came second) won this event in 2002, she has always been there or thereabouts, but it was amazing pushing from Sammi, especially in the last 20 metres and she didn't panic.

She knew she had won going across the line and didn't realise how fast it was.
