Daniel Ocampo:, external The only player that's been better than Messi at these finals is James Rodriguez.
Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi:
"Messi is one heck of a player. You can't take that away from him. He's blessed. I think there are other players in the Argentina squad who are very strong, but Messi is from Jupiter.
"We gave too much respect to the Argentines and did not play our game in the first half. We played a bit more aggressive in the second half. Congratulations to the Argentina team, I wish them all the best in the tournament."
BBC World Service reporter John Bennett: "Big moment for African coaches: Stephen Keshi is the first African to take an African team to the World Cup knockout stages."

It has been a noticeable characteristic of this 2014 World Cup, and hopefully that trend will continue throughout the tournament.
That top five free-kicks video is well worth a watch. Roberto Carlos absolutely smacking one in against China...
Martino Oscar:, external We expected a win but couldn't work out. But the boys show their flairs for this game as African Champion. Good to go through.

Former Premier League striker Jason Roberts
BBC Radio 5 live, Porto Alegre
"That was a very enjoyable game. Argentina win it in the end with a scrappy set piece but they look vulnerable defensively. Whoever face Nigeria in the last 16 will have to deal with Musa. His pace will cause anyone problems."
Mark Marriott:, external The magician Messi does it again. He is growing and growing into this tournament. Be scared. Be very scared.
Arukaino Umukoro:, external This wasn't simply a Messi show. This was Ahmed Musa's grand entrance into the biggest stage in world football.
Who has qualified so far then? Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Netherlands, Mexico, Costa Rica, Greece, Argentina, Nigeria and Belgium.
There are five places up for grabs.
The atmosphere in Porto Alegre has been tremendous all day and the ground is still rocking. Argentina fans are singing a song over and over again, which ends with 'Maradona is greater than Pele.'
