Dave Etches:, external Argentina have been mediocre so far. Lionel Messi is brilliant but on his own can't do much. Netherlands have far more attacking threat. Arjen Robben's speed will undo the Argentina defence, especially as he now stays on his feet. 3-1 to Netherlands. First all-European final in Latin America.

Chris Pipe:, external I hope Argentina win the World Cup, and if they do, I hope they let Messi keep it at his house because he's dragged his team kicking and screaming through this tournament.

The party has already started at the Fan Fest at the Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, with Argentina fans soaking up the sunshine. It's a much gloomier outlook in Sao Paulo where the game is being played, but the rain has at least stopped above the stadium.

"I think it will be an all-European final. I like the way Netherlands play, they create a lot of chances, and I'm not a big fan of the Argentina defence. Robin van Persie has a slight problem but I'm sure Louis van Gaal will start and with Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben. Those three can definitely win a football match."

The Dutch are out for revenge this evening.

In 1978 then hosts Argentina swept aside the Dutch to win the World Cup on home soil. It was the second straight final defeat for the men in Oranje. Ouch.

Shaun Adams:, external I think Netherlands can win - they have a stronger all-round team than Argentina and a top-class manager who makes crucial changes when needed (look at the Mexico game and the Tim Krul change in the quarter-final v Costa Rica).

Chris Tubritt:, external Whatever Louis van Gaal has done has worked. Best manager in this tournament up to now. He is getting the best out of 20-22-year-olds who have never played at a high level before.

Last night was one of the most amazing games - or certainly 30 minutes - of World Cup history.

What can we expect tonight? Goals, incidents - an Arjen Robben penalty claim? It could all go off in Sao Paulo.
