"Celtic, while being patient, need to be more creative in the final third."
Celtic suddenly find some rhythm and a fine passing move gives Anthony Stokes a glimpse of goal but his shot from the edge of the area is blocked by a sea of black and white jerseys.
This is reminiscent of training mode in Fifa or Pro Evolution Soccer: can Celtic break the defence's collective will?
Chris Hood: "If you are playing in Champions League qualifiers, you should be able to beat the first man on a set-piece..."
Ten minutes until the break and Celtic have laboured to break down their opponents. With the exception of the Commons shot that rattled the crossbar, Ronny Deila's troops have been a little short on the creativity to slice through the Reykjavik rearguard.

"[Efe Ambrose] gives me palpations..."
The Nigerian defender's maverick style can often leave coaching staff/pundits and supporters fumbling for the heart pills like Chief Inspector Dreyfus in The Pink Panther.
Celtic somewhat unconvincingly deal with another Reykjavik aerial assault, enabling Leigh Griffiths to spear forward. The ball finds its way back to the keeper Magnusson, whose poor clearance lands at Griffiths's feet.
The striker, attempting a strike similar to Wayne Rooney's at Upton Park last season, but his effort drifts wide.
Celtic are trying to get Stefan Johansen into the game, but every time the commentator roars "Johansen" I keep thinking: "Are you asking?"
I'll get my coat. It remains goalless, by the way...
bringthemonjpn: "Even global warming warnings can't break down this Icelandic defence."
The hosts suddenly come alive as Celtic fail to clear their lines and English striker Gary Martin tests Fraser Forster with a drive from distance. The giant keeper, though, gets behind the strike.
Celtic launch an attack from the right flank with a ball into the box but, in true Forrest Gump-style, goalkeeper Magnusson comes galloping out to gather.
As we approach the 20-minute mark, Celtic are being denied space in the final third and are having to be patient as they seek to break the deadlock in Reykjavik.
It remains goalless but Ronny Deila's men are chapping at the door...
Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose, perhaps still on Brazilian World Cup time, causes fear and alarm among Celtic ranks with a poor touch that allows Reykjavik to launch a counter attack. Luckily for the Scots, it quickly fizzles out.
Like a hungry bear emerging from a cave after a lengthy hibernation, Celtic skipper Charlie Mulgrew comes forward with purpose but there's no space for his team-mates in yellow jerseys.
Reykjavik are proving difficult to break down...
John McEnerney: "Celtic to take a 3-goal lead into the 2nd leg, We just need to maintain the intensity tonight KR won't be able to live with us."
Kris Commons has the scent of a goal in his nostrils, he fires in another howitzer but Magnusson in the Reykjavik goal is equal to the task.
James Rodriguez eat your heart out! Leigh Griffiths flicks the ball high into the path of Kris Commons who scuttles up before unleashing a vicious volley that rattles the crossbar.
Celtic come within a lick of paint of taking the lead in Ronny Deila's competitive match.
BBC Sportsound pundit Billy Dodds
"They're sitting deep and making it difficult for Celtic. The best way forward for Celtic is to get their full-backs forward and attack the flanks."
Aloysius, Inverness, texts: "Eyjafjallajökull goes ballistic, Celtic are (hopefully not) atrocious?"
Nico: "Someone needs to tell Efe Ambrose this is not a pre-season friendly, his passing is terrible."
bringthemonjpn: "From the warmth of the Brazilain beaches, back to Scottish football, in Iceland. Celtic going for goals..three top?"
James Pollard: "Eyjafjallajökull (I laugh haha jökull) at the prospect of KR Reykjavik winning tonight. Beat that. #BBCSportScot #BBCFootball"
Celtic spurn a good chance to make an early breakthrough, Charlie Mulgrew's free-kick finds the head of Virgil van Dijk but the Dutch defender can't find a team-mate inside the penalty area.
