    Man Utd

BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "Manchester United have three-quarters of an hour to confirm Falcao's arrival earlier than they managed with Marouane Fellaini 12 months ago.

"On that occasion it was just after 2am that they announced the Belgian had signed from Everton for £27m."

Andy via text: £16m for an unprolific forward who has never played regularly as a centre forward could be considered as being a bit much. Manchester United look like they are the winners in this Danny Welbeck deal.

Eli in London via text: Sorry to see Danny Welbeck leave Manchester United, but deep down he'll always be a Red.

Martin in Stafford via text: Seems to me like Arsenal have got themselves a bargain. Danny Welbeck has masses of potential and if this deal turns out to be anything like the Daniel Sturridge move from Chelsea to Liverpool then Man United might just kick themselves for letting him go.

When I woke up this morning I do not think I would have imagined Danny Welbeck being an Arsenal player by the end of the day. That's the beauty of Transfer Deadline Day though.

Anderson - the great survivor of Old Trafford. He'll outstay Louis van Gaal you know...

Daniel Handley: , externalHow on earth do we end up letting Welbeck, Hernandez and Kagawa go and end up keeping Anderson, Fellaini and Young?

Pitmen Barmy Army:, external That's an start! One of the two, hurry up Falcao then I can go sleeeeppppp.

Chris Komorek:, external I will admit, I'm slightly concerned that Danny Welbeck will go on and do a Daniel Sturridge and star for Arsenal.

    Arsenal

    Danny Welbeck

Arsene Wenger insisted he didn't need a striker but anyone who saw Yaya Sanogo toil at Leicester can tell you that's not the case. Danny Welbeck was not exactly prolific for Manchester United - scoring 29 goals in 142 appearances - but that's 29 more than Sanogo.

Pete in Greenwich via text: "All the people saying that Danny Welbeck is not worth the money need to realise he is exactly what Arsenal are looking for."

Tarun in Hoxton: Though he may not yet realise it, Alan Pardew should be informed that Hatem Ben Arfa's signature on Hull City headed letter paper will be his kiss of death. The boy Ben Arfa did not defend, but on his day he could stop the traffic at Old Trafford and make it rain in the Gallowgate. As a Newcastle fan, I hope that Steve Bruce makes Hatem dream again.

Pete in Newcastle: Ben Arfa deal has gone through and my heart is broken. I hope hull treat him better than we have in the last few months!

    Danny Murphy's line-up
    Phil Neville's line-up

Football Focus pundits Phil Neville and Danny Murphy have had a go at fitting all Manchester United's new signings into a team. What do you think?

Michael Carrick may need some new legs if Louis van Gaal goes with Phil Neville's suggestion...

Hatem Ben Arfa will stay with Hull until the end of the season. Good business in my book. Well done Steve Bruce.

Clubs sometimes conclude deals at the last minute and it is not always easy for them to get everything completed and sent over by 11pm. The so called 'deal sheet' allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation.

The sheet cannot be used prior to 21:00 BST and needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes. Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got until 1am to submit the full paperwork.

So technically Arsenal still have quarter of an hour to conclude the Danny Welbeck deal...

Simon in London: Biggest disappointment for me today is the lack of Ricardo Quaresma sightings. Pretty sure that guy is the most commonly 'spotted' player in the history of Transfer Deadline Day.

Karen MCR: Reading updates under bed sheets. In deep trouble if caught by my partner! Falcao you have a lot to answer for!
