Leicester were second-best in the first half, but they enjoy the first real chance of the second when David Nugent's shot is deflected wide after good work by Jamie Vardy.
Rooney off as Man Utd beat West Ham 2-1
Chelsea 3-0 Villa; Everton 1-1 Liverpool

It is the second round of FA Cup qualifying today, which can mean only one thing - Henry Winkler, AKA The Fonz, showing his support for Winchester City...
We're back under way in five of our six 3pm kick-offs. We're a little delayed at St Mary's.
Andy Knowles:, external Well after a sensational start from Man City and an equally poor 10 minutes which let Hull back in, need to start up again in the second half.
MOTD's Jonathan Pearce at Emirates
"Arsenal look far more durable in the league now and will be looking to go unbeaten in their opening six league games for the first time since 2007.
"Jack Wilshere had a superb game against Manchester City . Mesut Ozil found his form at Aston Villa. Danny Welbeck has hit the ground running and has struck up a good understanding with the World Cup winner. Alexis Sanchez has four goals in his last five games.
"Do Tottenham have anyone to match that? Not on the evidence of the lame performance against West Brom when there were too many artists and not enough artisans prepared to roll their sleeves up and drive a quick early tempo."
Darko Milanic's first game as Leeds United manager is not going to plan at Brentford. The Bees have shipped nine goals in their last three games but lead 1-0 thanks to Jota's left-footed shot in first-half injury time.
Fulham caretaker manager Kit Symons's hopes of getting the job on a permanent basis have taken a hit at Birmingham, with David Cotterill's first-half strike giving the Blues a 1-0 lead.
Meanwhile, league-leaders Nottingham Forest, who were held to a 0-0 draw at Millwall last weekend, are being held 0-0 by Sami Hyypia's Brighton.
Sam Burnett:, external Despite conceding, I think young Patrick McNair's done well at the back. Been more solid than Jonny Evans has been recently.
Andy Crompton:, external Falcao's build-up and hold-up is play very reminiscent of Mark Hughes.
Sola Babalola:, external I honestly feel David de Gea needs competition from a real world class keeper. He's getting very complacent these days.
BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan at St Mary's
"Southampton have been dominant with great chances for Dusan Tadic and Morgan Schneiderlin but QPR have somehow kept out the hosts.
"Saints boss Ronald Koeman became increasingly frustrated as the half wore on and that tells you everything about his ambition and expectations for this game while opposite number Harry Redknapp was relieved to hear Mark Clattenburg blow for the break."
Steven Gerrard on his free-kick:
"You get a feeling for certain areas when you get a free-kick. I fancied and I got the strike right."
On Mario Balotelli:
"Balotelli did everything today but get that goal. He had a wonderful chance with ten minutes to go to wrap the game up. He did everything today but score."
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers: "The players were brilliant. We were clearly the dominant side in the game, but sometimes you don't get what you deserve in football.
"But for a wonder strike at the end of the game we would have got the three points.
"Mario Balotelli should have scored. There was a touch on it [his shot] but I think he will think he should have scored. He had some exceptional touches in the game.
"We should also have had a penalty. If the Gareth Barry handball was not a penalty then you won't see any penalties all year.
"But they get their point and we are happy with the performance, if not the result."
Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "It was a special strike and he [Phil Jagielka] deserves it. He has been getting a lot of stupid criticism. We saw a man who faces adversity full on.
"Our performance on the ball was not good enough but we never gave up. Our defending was excellent and we always looked dangerous on the counter-attack.
"When we were in the final third we got a bit confused and forced the play a little bit too much. Kevin Mirallas getting injured had a big effect on that. What we got today was a real start in our season and real measurement in terms of character and mentality."
I think the Anfield net is still bulging from Phil Jagielka's 90th-minute leveller earlier. Here's some reaction from Merseyside.
It is a mixed bag of games in the Premier League so far, with three seeing goals and three goalless. Just over five minutes until the teams re-emerge for the second half, so just enough time to grab a bit more reaction to the 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Everton earlier...
The eight-game unbeaten record of league-leaders Bury is under threat at St James' Park, with Matt Grimes handing 20th-placed Exeter a 1-0 lead at home.
Burton could leapfrog Bury at the top of the table with a victory over seventh-placed Cheltenham and lead 1-0 at the Pirelli Stadium thanks to Stuart Beavon's left-footed strike.
As it stands, fourth-placed Southend will also close the gap at the top as Shaquile Coulthirst has given Phil Brown's side a 1-0 lead at home to Shrewsbury as they chase a fourth win on the bounce.
John Roder
Match of the Day commentator at St Mary's
"After heavy defeats in their previous two fixtures, QPR will be satisfied with a 0-0 scoreline. Southampton have had much more of the play and will feel that they should be ahead at the break."
Steve Claridge
at Stamford Bridge for BBC Radio 5 live sports extra
"It's a fine balancing act for Villa between pushing men forward and leaving themselves exposed at the back, which Chelsea will then punish. But Aston Villa have stayed in this game by working really hard. They just have to hope they can fashion a single opportunity then take it."
Former Wales international John Hartson
Final Score
"Marcos Rojo and Patrick McNair have probably never had a conversation before today but they are Manchester United's main central defensive pairing. It will take time for the team to gel but I just feel that at set-pieces the players need to take a bit more responsibility. I was always told that if the ball is there to head, then head it. United need to take the initiative in terms of the defensive side of play."
The dropped Joe Hart didn't seem to be in the mood for signing autographs before today's game at the KC Stadium.
MOTD's Martin Fisher at Stamford Bridge
"Oscar's goal separates the teams. Credit to Villa - their defensive drills in training during the week have helped them frustrate Chelsea's attack. Villa will have to find something at the other end, if they're going to return to Birmingham with something."
