Celtic are flat and flirting with danger here as play again flows towards the home penalty box.
Goalscorer John Sutton misses a great chance to put Motherwell two goals in front. Keith Lasley's cross finds the striker only four yards from goal but somehow manages to side-foot his effort wide.
Celtic's Jason Denayer is thwarted by a save from Motherwell goalkeeper Dan Twardzik, who clutches the ball confidently to deny the on-loan Manchester City defender.
John Sutton starts and finishes the move that gives Motherwell a surprise lead at Celtic Park. He lays the ball off to Josh Law and the midfielder's cross to the front post finds his fellow Englishman on the edge of the six-yard box and the striker volleys home.

Iain Vigurs fires a few feet wide for Motherwell after some poor Celtic marking. The midfielder was in acres of space and could have caused a bigger problem had he not been on his less-favoured right foot.

Motherwell are being penned in at Celtic Park in the early stages, with the home side forcing them into mistakes by pressing high up the park.
Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has the first chance of the game and probably should have done better than head wide.
Celtic are immediately into attack after the kick-off and win a corner.
Zaine Francis-Angol and Fraser Kerr return to the Motherwell starting line-up, with Paul Lawson and Lee Erwin dropping to the bench in what is likely to be a more defensive line-up.
Celtic have had a stuttering start to the season and, although they are undefeated in two games after two successive defeats, two of those have been draws.
However, win today and they move to within three points of joint leaders Dundee United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle with a game in hand.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila has told BBC Scotland that his decision to make widespread changes was inspired by some players suffering knocks, others needing a rest and a few requiring first-team game time.
Lukasz Zaluska starts in goal for Celtic, with Craig Gordon dropping to the bench.
Meanwhile, midfielders Beram Kayal, Nir Bitton and Aleksandar Tonev and strikers Anthony Stokes and John Guidetti come into the side, with the latter making his first start since signing on a loan deal from Manchester City.
Scott Brown, Kris Commons and Stefan Scepovic drop to the Celtic bench, while Stefan Johansen and Wakaso Mubarak miss out after featuring against Salzburg in the Europa League.

"I expected Celtic to make a few changes, but when you have the likes of Scott Brown and Kris Commons on the bench, it just shows how strong they are.
"You've got to try your best and try to come away with a shock result.
"We didn't name the team until the last minute as we had a few players with knocks, but Ramsden and Vigurs have been passed fit.
"We have beaten 1-0 here a few times and were always in the game and first and foremost we've got to defend well.
"We are stronger now personnel wise and just have to find our form."
Motherwell ended a run of four straight defeats by beating bottom side Ross County last weekend in Dingwall. But they haven't beaten Celtic in last four meetings and they have not won in their last 11 games visits to Celtic Park.
