Celtic may have won the last eight meetings with Hearts by an aggregate score of 28-2 but the Edinburgh side are aiming for a hat-trick of League Cup wins in the east end of Glasgow.

A Michael Stewart penalty gave the Jambos a 1-0 victory in 2009, while a double from Andrius Velicka earned the visitors a 2-0 triumph in 2007.

Celtic have not won this tournament since 2009 and have twice been beaten finalists since then. Last season saw the Glasgow giants toppled at home by Morton.

Hearts, who last lifted the trophy in 1962, missed out on a place in last year's final following a penalty shoot-out with Inverness, who were down to nine men before levelling for extra-time.
