More crackers for the Golf XI:

Stuart from Fife: "Team would have to be nicknamed 'The Pars'. Not easy to say as a Cowdenbeath fan."

Robert in Dundee: "Surely Stuart Duff is worthy of a place!!"

Martin, Edinburgh: "What about Aberdeen midfielder, Ryan Hack?"

  2. GOALpublished at 13:27 British Summer Time 27 September 2014

Scott Brown, who may have been a tad offside, cuts into the penalty box from the right and squares into the six yard box where John Guidetti slides in under pressure from Jim Goodwin and Marian Kello. It looks like the ball hits the keeper and bounces in off the defender, so we might be taking that one from the Celtic striker. I'll need another look...

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:27 British Summer Time 27 September 2014

St Mirren's Thomas Reilly is the first man to be cautioned as he clips the speeding Mubarak Wakaso.

Anthony Stokes delivers a devilish free kick from the right but no Celtic player can get a touch and Marian Kello gathers the ball into his chest.

    BBC Sportsound pundit Pat Bonner

"Kris Commons is a big miss (for Celtic). He has that ability to make something happen out of nothing. It's not quite coming off for Callum McGregor, who I think is better out on the right."

BBC Scotland's senior football reporter Alasdair Lamont at St Mirren Park

"Nothing much between these teams thus far. St Mirren trying to ensure Celtic don't get time on the ball and apart from a couple of nervy moments in the opening minutes, Marian Kello's had nothing to do. Thomas Reilly's long-range thunderbolt off the bar remains the closest we've come to a goal."

Celtic forward John Guidetti is in behind the St Mirren defence but looks a little sluggish, allowing Jim Goodwin and Jeroen Tesselar to make ground, with the latter man getting the crucial touch from a sliding tackle.

  9. CLOSE!published at 13:12 British Summer Time 27 September 2014

Celtic's Anthony Stokes, rather quiet so far, cuts in from the left and whips in a dipping shot that just bounces wide of Marian Kello's right-hand post.

With St Mirren snapping into challenges and pressing hard, there is no real flow to the game but there are lots of intriguing individual battles.
