At least one Liverpool team have won the title this season. At Anfield, Liverpool Ladies are parading the Women's Super League trophy they won in dramatic fashion earlier this month. That's two in two years for the Liverpool women. Next year marks 25 since the chaps won the title.

Arsenal pair Mikel Arteta and Flamini are deep in discussion as they prepare for the game against Sunderland. Playing the Gunners is probably not ideal for a Sunderland side coming into the game off the back of an 8-0 beating by Southampton, but it will be interesting to see what their response is.

Craig, Blackburn: The Sam Allardyce boo-boys are feeling pretty daft now. Will they still say this isn't the West Ham style they crave?

West Ham midfielder Alex Song: "We are doing well at the moment and we wanted to continue that today. We started well against Liverpool and that was the plan again today. We played together, we worked together and we won together.

"When the new players arrived in the summer we were all given a very good welcome and you can see that on the training ground. The spirit is high and we are really enjoying it."

Hammers defender James Collins: "Everyone is enjoying coming into training, something is clicking for us and we are on the up."

"Guy Poyet has put the onus back on the team and they have a chance to put it right today. I think Sunderland will play like supermen. We will have a massive reaction to the 8-0 defeat away to Southampton last week, because they have a chance to put it right for themselves. Never mind for the manager or the fans, they will be embarrassed about the result and will want to put things right as professionals."

"You have to remember how good a player Ronald Koeman was too. I remember him playing in what was for me that first great Barcelona side, and the influence of Johan Cruyff. Koeman is a very experienced guy, but who would have thought Southampton would have had the start they have had? Koeman has spent very well and I have been very impressed."

"It was sloppy from Arsenal for the first goal against Hull last weekend. Without a doubt there was a foul on Mathieu Flamini, but then Per Mertesacker for the second goal, he should do better too. There has been talk this week about the training not being tough enough, but any problems you have you keep it in house. There is work to be done at both ends for Arsenal. And they are losing pace as Chelsea are running away with this Premier League."

"Balotelli is missing chances. He has probably had more chances than any player in the Premier League. You have to trust your players and believe in them, you can't just leave them isolated. He needs help."

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel
    Football Focus

"You have to think about who Mario Balotelli is replacing: Luis Suarez. They are two completely different players. If you bring someone like Balotelli in, you have to build something around him, and it doesn't look like Liverpool have. 22 chances he has missed this season, and it now becomes a confidence thing."

"West Ham players are down on the floor taking it all in. They worked so hard they deserve to be congratulated. They made it so hard for City to play, their keeper turned up, tactically they got it right. I really need to give them the credit. They did all you need to do against a side who have better individuals, they deserve this standing ovation."
