A brief worry for Sam Allardyce as West Ham goalkeeper Adrian is left on the floor by a robust Jon Walters challenge. Big Sam has made all three of his permitted substitutions - meaning he would have to put an outfield player in goal if the keeper cannot continue. Fortunately, he is quickly back on his feet.

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke manager on BBC Radio 5 live at Stamford Bridge

"QPR have pushed up their two strikers right up there now. Harry Redknapp just has to go for broke now, they might get done on the break but you have to take that risk."

Eden Hazard is some player. He runs past players like they aren't there. Twice in the dying minutes he glides away from defenders but can't quite find the killer lay-off.

Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott are straight into the thick of the action as they both draw fine saves out of Tom Heaton. So good were the saves, Wojciech Szczesny applauds at the the other end of the pitch.

Moments later, Podolski has the woodwork shaking with a decent effort. Exciting finish at the Emirates!

Bojan Krkic showed plenty of creative spark for Stoke in the first hour before starting to tire. Manager Mark Hughes responds by taking him off and bringing on Charlie Adam to bolster his midfield.

Stoke respond by almost going back in front, as Jon Walters crosses low from the right, and Geoff Cameron's goalbound poke is pushed aside by keeper Adrian. Referee Chris Foy, though, gives a goal kick. "That's inexplicable," says Match of the Day commentator John Roder of the decision.

It's now or never for Leicester, with the latter looking increasingly likely. Huff, and puff, from the Foxes but no real class in front of goal today.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:40 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Big moment for Theo Walcott as he climbs off the bench to make his first appearance for Arsenal since 4 January. Huge applause from the fans as he jogs on to the pitch.

Walcott, who has not played for almost 11 months after picking up a knee injury, replaces Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Lukas Podolski is also on for Danny Welbeck.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:39 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Two great saves from Rob Green keep QPR in with a sniff. First he turns away Andre Schurrle's low shot and from the corner a big left wrist pushes out John Terry's header.

That Eden Hazard penalty decision will no doubt be a big talking point after the game. It was a foul, and a needless one from Eduardo Vargas as he had help. He didn't need to make the tackle at all.

Chelsea are 10 minutes away from another win but they've not played well today.

  16. Postpublished at 16:36 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Enner Valencia is seeking a second goal as West Ham chase a win that looked highly unlikely in the first hour. Stewart Downing and Carlton Cole combine to send Valencia clear, but the angle is tight and keeper Asmir Begovic is quickly down at the striker's feet - with the ball running out for a goal kick.

Southampton's Sadio Mane spurns a golden chance to double his side's lead as he smacks a shot into the turf and over the bar. Time running out for both sides.

Leicester have looked a menace from corners all game and Andy King again goes close with a header. Twelve minutes left.

    John Roder
Match of the Day commentator at the Britannia Stadium

"Sam Allardyce said his side needed to show character at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon. It may have been absent in the first half, but it's certainly been present in the second. Enner Valencia looks a different player now that he has a striker partner alongside him in Carlton Cole."

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Diego Costa is off, he's lasted 75 minutes of his comeback but has looked pretty spent of late. He's off, Andre Schurrle is on. But the draw is still on for QPR, as Charlie Austin again gets a shot away. Good block but Harry Redknapp's boys are still fighting...
