    Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini refuses to be drawn on the chances of David Silva and Yaya Toure being fit for Sunday's derby against Manchester United.

    Both Ivory Coast powerhouse Toure and Spain star Silva were taken off with injuries. "We will see tomorrow what the doctors say," says the Chilean boss.

    Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini: "We didn't play well enough - we conceded two easy goals and didn't take our chances to score.

    "The team ran a lot, tried to do things better but we couldn't because we're not in a good moment. I think Newcastle deserved to win, although we had four or five chances to score.

    "It's difficult to say what happened but must recover our trust as a team. We will continue to try to recover ahead of the derby."
