Another cracking goal! A night full of them as Hull substitute Sone Aluko exploits the creaking, aging limbs of Sylvain Distin, skipping past the defender on the right-hand side of the box and then finishing confidently at the near post. Game on.

"Delightful finish by Zabaleta. Celebrates by sticking the ball under his shirt and sucking his thumb. Trying to fathom the relevance."

    "Brilliant goal from Manchester City.

"Nasri dinked the ball in to Zabaleta and a delightful chip kissed the post on its way in.

"That's his first goal of the season and a dream one too."

That is first class. Absolutely first-class! Pablo Zabaleta has been staying behind after school for some finishing lessons with compatriot Sergio Aguero I think. He works a slick one-two down the right with Samir Nasri, who spins a reverse pass into his path. Costel Pantilimon comes out to shut down his former team-mate but the number five pops a deft little clip over his head and into the corner.

Wonderful stuff Capped off with a bizarre, football-up-your-jersey/thumb-sucking pregnancy celebration.

    Don't ask.

Greg Salisbury in Derby: Melbourne Dynamo reserves take on Derby City Corinthians from the Derby church league in quarter final of Derbyshire cup on Saturday. First time a church team has appeared in the comp. Corinthians have asked us to go easy on them as they're "only" a church team. They won their last 16 tie 13-0!

England left-back Leighton Baines picks up a bloody nose in a tackle and needs some patching up. He returns with some sort of cotton wool affair lodged up his nostril.

Still frustratingly mono-paced stuff at the Emirates. Both sides look neat and tidy on the ball but lacking any real cutting edge. Saints break away with intent but Shane Long leans back and slices a shot wildly wide.

Seb Larsson has an early shot easily saved by Joe Hart as the hosts look for a way back into the game.

Tom in Leicester: There is a lot of negativity with regards to Spurs' performance vs Chelsea. Think that's forgetting that Kane may have put Spurs 2-0 up inside 10 minutes. Defensively fragile but quick and inventive in attack in my opinion!

Kevin Mirallas scored two lovely goals last week, and he goes for an inspired effort - outside of the boot, a Poborsky-style chip - but it drifts into the Gladwys. A confident man!

A half-time change for Chelsea - but it's not Didier Drogba. Kurt Zouma replaces Gary Cahill at the back, a man who had that early head injury of course.
