Canadian warbler Bryan Adams is singing at Glasgow's Hydro tonight. Here's hoping he doesn't take a wrong turn and end up at Celtic Park.

Which of his songs would be apt for tonight's clash? Will one set of fans be on "Cloud Number Nine" or will one of the manager's ask his players "Do I Need To Say The Words?" if they're trailing at half-time?

With their Euro 2016 hopes on the line, will either side be singing "There Will Never Be Another Tonight"?

Lee Willox: It'll be a sad state of affairs should Aiden McGeady get booed.... there's plenty anglo-scots in our squad and I aint heard the Tartan Army boo any of them on the ball. If it happens it happens tho....

Roy Crawford: It [booing] never usually works anyway. It'll only make him more determined. Good luck to him and good luck Scotland.

  16. Wide boys hold key?published at 19:03 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2014

Pat Nevin believes the wide men hold the key to Friday night's Euro 2016 qualifier between Scotland and the Republic of Ireland at Celtic Park.

And the 28-time capped former Scotland winger believes the hosts will edge it.

"If Ikechi Anya's playing on the left against Seamus Coleman, who is a fantastic player but he's not at his best, he has to be got at," said Nevin.

"Aiden McGeady's on fantastic form and we're missing Alan Hutton, so the wide areas could be important in this one.

"It's very close to it - it's certainly a must-not lose [for Scotland].

"If we win we're back in the mix, if we draw we're not out of it, if we lose we're up against the eight ball and I just can't see us getting through, so do not lose this one."

Scotland's Group D rivals Poland are running amok in Georgia... They lead 4-0 heading into injury time courtesy of Arkadiusz Milik's goal.

  19. Ireland aim to thwart Fletcherpublished at 18:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2014

The Republic of Ireland will be wary of the threat posed by Scotland striker Steven Fletcher.

"I signed him for Sunderland and my own view was that his goals were instrumental in keeping the side up, as well as Simon Mignolet's performances in goal, so the two of them can take great credit for that," said Martin O'Neill.

"But he has had a few injury problems - he was injured for Scotland at the back end of that particular season and he has fought his way back, so he is in very good form at the moment."
