Really not a lot going on, with a Charles N'Zogbia shot straight into the gloves of Costel Pantilimon one of the very few highlights.

  4. CLOSE!published at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 28 December 2014

"It is a fabulous strike right into the top corner. The keeper has no chance. It is really important for City to nail this four or five or six because I think the title could well come down to goal difference."

QPR look a little disjointed this afternoon and Junior Hoilett should do better when he runs down the left but punts his cross out of play. Getting the basics wrong is worrying for Harry's boys.

Steve Clarke is still searching for his first win as Reading boss and the Royals are ahead against visitors Norwich. Hal Robson-Kanu strikes confidently from the penalty spot.

Cardiff also lead 1-0 against Watford in the Welsh capital, with Adam Le Fondre notching the opener. No breakthrough yet for leaders Bournemouth at Millwall, nor for third-placed Middlesbrough at Blackburn.

Rotherham are dominating at Blackpool, but have wasted a golden chance to take the lead. On-loan striker Tom Lawrence sees his penalty saved by home keeper Joe Lewis.

The hosts are playing with so much patience around the Burnley box. This time it is Samir Nasri who waits and waits before eventually rolling a pass back to Fernandinho.

From the edge of the 'D' the Brazilian produces a superb curling shot that bounces in off the underside of the bar.

That is his first goal of the season.

This could be a massive goal for the bottom club.

Leicester take the lead away to Hull as David Nugent scampers towards the Hull box, the ball breaks to Riyad Mahrez and the Foxes midfielder cuts inside his man and find the bottom corner with a low 20-yarder.

There is a suggestion that the ball may have taken a crucial nick off Nugent on its way into the net. Nigel Pearson won't care either way.

Burnley have caused a few palpitations at the back for Manchester City when they come forward. Michael Keane heads over on the stretch at the back post in the Clarets' latest venture forward.

City's defence may be lacking the leadership of the injured Vincent Kompany.

Both teams are still tip-toeing across the tightrope at the KC. Both know that, come the end of the season count-up, a defeat here could be particularly costly.

Hull have had the best of the half chances and Ben Hamer has to be alert in the Foxes goal to keep out David Myler's fierce 25-yard drive.

"Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has made changes in an attempt to stem a spell of Chelsea domination as James Ward-Prowse and Florin Gardos replace Dusan Tadic and Maya Yoshida - but the league leaders are really stepping on the gas now.

"And Chelsea's fans, sensing their side have finally taken control, are making themselves heard while Southampton's supporters are subdued. Suspect Mr. Mourinho may have had a word at half-time."
