Logan, Basingstoke: If you told someone these two teams used to be greats of Italian football they'd find it hard to believe you.

And how about the match stats, you might also wonder. Fairly close - Inter had slightly more possession and shots on target. Milan had more shots in total, and corners too.

What does that do the table, you might ask. AC Milan are up one place to seventh, while Inter remain ninth.

A point a piece is probably fair enough. It was entertaining at times but, as predicted, quality was not the name of the game - except for the two goals.

Andrea Poli is almost an AC Milan hero, the ball lands to him 12 yards out and it's deflected wide. Just.

It was an agonising wait to see which side of the post that ball flew past.

Keisuke Honda takes the ball forward but fails to create a chance. Inter break and Diego Lopez comes out to the edge of his box to claim it and almost slides outside the area with the ball in his hands. A close escape there.

A slight hold up for a Fredy Guarin injury but we're back under way now. Four minutes of stoppage time.

AC Milan get a controversial corner as Adil Rami looked to have run the ball out of play before winning the set-piece. Keisuke Honda's corner is terribly however and fails to beat the first man, who must have been about 10 yards away.

AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy has a chance at goal but Inter defender Juan Jesus does enough to block his shot.

Milan midfielder Michael Essien has cramp but he's fine to continue.

This time it's Inter Milan who hit the crossbar, Mauro Icardi's first-time volley from Fredy Guarin's cross was brilliant but it's just too high.

Ten minutes to go, both sides will fancy their chances of a winner. But can either side risk losing?

AC Milan substitute Keisuke Honda cuts in from the right and fires in a decent shot although it's straight at Inter keeper Samir Handanovic.

He's done more in his three or four minutes on the pitch than Fernando Torres did in over 70.

Stephan El Shaarawy should make it 2-1 to AC Milan, he's played through by a fantastic Giacomo Bonaventura ball but he hits the crossbar from the edge of the box. He had more time - he should have got it right. Huge let-off for Inter.

Another poor day for Fernando Torres comes to an end - he is replaced by Keisuke Honda. That's one goal in 10 Serie A games now for the Chelsea loanee.

Roberto Mancini makes his first change since returning to Inter Milan boss - Hernanes comes on for Joel Obi in midfield.
