    "Yesterday I saw Steve Gerrard quoted as saying he doesn't like playing in derbies and to be honest I don't know many people who do, but he has a fantastic record in them. This will be his last at Liverpool and he has been Mr Liverpool, producing so many fantastic moments to lift the side when hey needed it. I still think his passing is as good as anyone's in the league. I very rarely use the word legend, but he really is a legend at Anfield."

    Two changes for Everton from the side that started the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on 31 January. Left-back Leighton Baines and midfielder Aiden McGeady are replaced by Bryan Oviedo and James McCarthy, who returns after six weeks out with a hamstring injury.
