Disappointing from Nacer Chadli as he falls, theatrically I might add, when trying to get beyond Wes Morgan in the Leicester area. Yellow card for the Tottenham man.

Twinkle toes Wayne Routledge. He will be on Strictly Come Dancing one day, you mark my words. The Swansea winger dances around a ball and shows a clean set of heels but gets pulled down. It's the most illuminating moment in a drab opening at Villa Park.
Where is Bruce Forsyth to lift things?
A fan in the crowd takes his best throw in to return the ball to Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton. Why? Well Nathaniel Clyne summoned his inner Six Nations star by smashing one way over the bar and into the paying customers.
Burnley may feel a bit hard done by as replays show George Boyd has a case for being caught in the box. His fall was a bit elaborate. He went big on the fall to ground and got nothing.

"Such poor defending for Arsenal's second goal. Again Olivier Giroud is too strong for Mike Williamson and he guides the ball on target with his head. It's well finished but this could be five or six here today if Newcastle are going to defend like that. Lacklustre."
Stoke still lead and it looks like they're enjoying themselves. The Potters are keeping the ball well and Marko Arnautovic is looking dangerous, drifting in from the left flank. Palace are still to trouble Asmir Begovic.

"Olivier Giroud's first goal is all about confidence. We'd just been talking about a chance Graziano Pelle missed for Southampton, when he just took an extra touch and lost the ball, but Giroud is instinctive, because he is in form. He just puts the ball away."
A quickfire double for Arsenal and Olivier Giroud! Newcastle have been on the defensive ever since Giroud's first and they fall further behind when Santi Cazorla pings in a cross and Giroud nods home.
Tom Cleverley hobbles off for Villa, Carlos Sanchez will replace him. The Colombian midfielder will need to help his side keep more of the ball.
I have been tough on Bafetimbi Gomis so far but will ease back on him for his latest effort.
The former Lyon striker is played in by Ki Sung-yueng, through the inside left channel, but with little time he cannot lift his head and has to just smack one. A good save by Brad Guzan.

"A well-worked goal by Arsenal but sloppy defending by Newcastle. Santi Cazorla pulled the ball away from the Newcastle defence on the free-kick, it wasn't a great ball but Olivier Giroud showed good movement to latch on to Danny Welbeck's header and score."
Just like Harry Kane, Olivier Giroud is a striker who cannot stop scoring. The Arsenal man grabs his ninth in his last 11 games as Santi Cazorla whips in a free-kick, Danny Welbeck flicks it on and Giroud sticks out a knee to direct the ball into the net.
Kelvin Davis may be 38 and without regular first team action but my word does he step up to the plate here. Sam Vokes has time in the box but takes none and smashes a volley which needs a stiff parry around the post.
Tottenham are rampant! They come close to grabbing a third, but it is not via Harry Kane this time as Christian Eriksen scampers along the edge of the area, shoots low towards the bottom corner but the ball bounces back off the upright. Andros Townsend sends the rebound over.
Aston Villa have come out firing after their 4-0 win at Sunderland last week...
Well not quite.
This one is not really sparking just yet. Swansea pass, pass, pass. Gomis not ruthless. Aston Villa yet to turn up and have just 11 goals in 14 Premier League games at home - a league low.
Fulham have scored an early goal in the Championship, Alexander Kacaniklic netting at Huddersfield as Kit Symons' side look to ease their relegation fears.
In League One, meanwhile, Jon Stead has given Bradford the early advantage against Fleetwood in the meeting of two play-off hopefuls.
And League Two title contenders Shrewsbury have taken an early lead at home to Oxford as they look to narrow the gap to leaders Burton.
All very open with both sides having opportunities. First, Sammy Ameobi has a cross blocked as Newcastle try to forge a chance on goal before Olivier Giroud tries to beat Tim Krul to an Alexis Sanchez cross, but the Newcastle keeper wins that battle.
Why does Graziano Pelle have just one goal in 15 games? This latest chance may provide some insight. The Italian, who began the season like Roy of the Rovers, was played in by Ryan Bertrand but wanted too many touches and tried to beat a defender who was desperately trying to shut him down.
He failed.

"When you are hot you are hot. Both goals have been given to Harry Kane. For his second, he doesn't hit the shot cleanly, but it takes a deflection and that takes the ball past the goalkeeper. Sometimes as a striker you don't have to do anything but wait for the ball to drop for you."
Match of the Day host Gary Lineker

"Seems the England call-up for Harry Kane has proved too much for him. It took him more than five minutes to score against Leicester."
