If he's fit then why not start him? Spanish striker Joselu comes on for Hannover - he's their leading scorer - with Artur Sobiech coming off.
Here's a shot on target from inside the area - not sure that it really should count though. Robert Lewandowski got his head to a searching ball, but it was Christian Schultz's deflected block that made it tricky for Ron-Robert Zieler to gather. Lewandowski's effort was tame.
Franck Ribery comes on for his 15th league appearance of the season for Bayern. Mario Gotze is the player making way.
With Arjen Robben on one flank and Ribery on the other, surely it's only a matter of time before Bayern's superior quality tells?
Wolfsburg need to win their game to make it count if Bayern do slip up though. The Wolves are still level at sixth-placed Augsburg.
Not really the dominant performance we might have expected from Bayern. A long way to go yet but in the first half they didn't fashion a single shot from inside the penalty area, and are only level because of Xabi Alonso's moment of genius.
Hannover almost in again as a Ron-Robert Zieler long ball causes momentary havoc. Jerome Boateng launches himself at the ball before the Hannover strikers can latch onto it, and Manuel Neuer can gather his header.
Early pressure from the home side, as Hannover come straight out of the blocks. Leandro Bittencourt feeds Hiroshi Kiyotake out wide, who jinks and drops a shoulder before dropping a delicate cross into the box. Bayern clear the danger, but the home crowd are really on song now.
German Bundesliga
Back under way around Germany.
There is one Bundesliga result to bring you from last night - good and bad news for Stuttgart, who remain bottom of the table after a goalless draw at home to Hertha Berlin. Stuttgart, who have won the German title three times, have only been relegated from the top flight once before, in 1975.
What's the good news then? Well, they managed to keep out former Chelsea man Salomon Kalou, who has scored six goals in 17 games for Hertha this season.
It's nip-and-tuck between Hamburg and Dortmund. Mohamed Gouaida's has had a couple of chances for the home side while Patrick-Emerick Aubameyang has gone close for Dortmund. One goal might be enough to settle this one.
Today we'd like to know about the beginnings of your love for European football - this could be the first time you ever went to a European game, or the first European shirt you ever bought.
Ant Handwell: Mine started when Roberto Baggio moved from Fiorentina to Juventus and the chaos it caused, was hooked from there!
Harry: Visited my family in Rome as a Roma fan aged seven. Soon coerced into supporting Lazio by being bought a kit. Traitorous behaviour.

Almost no injury time played by the referee, who blows for half-time. Bayern feeling their way into this one, after having gone behind.
Robert Lewandowski has hardly had a touch since coming on but he plays his part in some really slick interplay as Bayern play keep-ball just outside Hannover's penalty area.
The ball breaks loose and the home side try to break but Bayern instantly pressure and win it back. Could be the pattern of the game from here. Bayern look like they've got an extra man, they're that good.
Five minutes to go before the break and Bayern are pressing for a second. Hannover have got to be happy with this so far. Maybe a goal should count double against Bayern?
Xabi Alonso goes into the book. He's protesting his innocence, but he definitely caught Leandro Bittencourt. Not even in the Premier League could the referee let that one go.
That's Alonso's fifth yellow card, and he'll miss the next game, against Werder Bremen.
Speaking of former Chelsea players (see 14:46), Franco Di Santo has just put Werder Bremen ahead against relegation-threatened Freiburg.
Things starting to warm up at the Imtech Arena. Another chance for Mohamed Gouaida who sees his fiercely struck effort parried by Roman Weidenfeller in the Dortmund goal, while Hamburg goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny makes an even better save at the other end to deny Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
A substitution after just over half an hour must be because of an injury, right? But it's Dante coming off, a central defender, and striker Robert Lewandowski coming on. Fancy a game at centre-back Rob?
That really was a stunning free-kick from Alonso. Excellent technique from the former Liverpool man. Scored a few like that in Anfield in his time too.
Instant reply! Xabi Alonso curls in a lovely free-kick, from the just outside of the box, slightly to the left of Ron-Robert Zieler's goal.
Bayern are right back in it straight away. The home fans were rocking, but now they're about as despondent as Zieler. He was rooted to the spot.
