    "The important things is we're in the hat for the next round. Berwick did great and this was their day, all the credit goes to them because they've done fantastically to get to this stage.

    "It's always important that you don't give the underdogs any impetus. We've done the job and we can now see who we will get later on.

    "We've got a good balance, with very intelligent footballers who are hungry and have points to prove. Scott Allan can do unbelievable things but he can also frustrate you, and I'm prepared to put up with the frustrating things.

    "I'd like to stay clear of Celtic. Whoever we play it will be tough, but we will be tough for them as well, no-one will want to play us either."

    It was a convincing performance from the Easter Road side. with Jason Cummings and Lewis Stevenson on target in the first half and Sam Stanton and Liam Fontaine adding goals after the break.

    They join Falkirk in the draw for the last four, which will be held after Dundee United entertain Celtic at Tannadice.
