Forget Schalke v Real Madrid. If Shakhtar Donetsk get back into this, there would surely be no bigger shock in the history of the competition? It isn't go to happen though. Is it?
If this was boxing, the white towel would have been thrown in by now.
Well that was easy for Bayern.
There is no letting up from Bayern. This time, Robert Lewandowski again burst down the right, cuts inside but his low shot is again at goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov.
Bayern have been so impressive in the opening 40 minutes. Yes, they have been helped by the fastest red card in Champions League history, but some of their attacking play has been absolutely delicious.
It's all kicking off now as Franck Ribery lies on the floor holding his head. Douglas Costa gets away with a yellow card as he bumps into him. Ribery appears to make a lot of that.
The Bayern fans are enjoying themselves as Thomas Muller curls the ball wide. I might get the record books out at half-time.
Game, set and match. Thomas Muller nods the ball down into Robert Lewandowski's path. The striker's close range shot is blocked by goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov but Jerome Boateng is on hand to tap home from inches out.
Bayern are yet to find the second goal but you can't help but think it is just a matter of time as they continue to totally dominate.
Drama at Stamford Bridge as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is red carded for Paris St-Germain against Chelsea, with the tie level at 1-1. Follow live text here.
Franck Ribery scuffs a shot straight at Shakhtar goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov, who just about does enough to block the ball. Shakhtar hack clear once more.
Thomas Muller is next to go close for the hosts but his header is easy for Pyatov.
Shakhtar simply can't get out of their own half with the ball. A more one-sided opening 25 minutes you could not see and it already looks like being just damage limitation for the visitors.
Bayern Munich have had 76% of possession so far and six shots on goal to Shakhtar's one. This is total domination. Don't forget though 10-man Shakhtar need just one goal without reply to go through.
Almost a second for the hosts as an unmarked Robert Lewandowski heads against the post from six yards. He has to score.
And still Bayern come. As another Robert Lewandoswki cross is hacked clear.,
Slight relief for the visitors as Arjen Robben limps off with a hamstring injury. He is replaced by Sebastian Rode on the flank.
As Arjen Robben and Robert Lewandowski have shots blocked by an increasingly desperate Shakhtar, Bayern fans start singing 'Show me the way to Amarillo' - why? No idea.
Bayern could be 3-0 up already as a well-worked corner routine is ultimately blasted over by Arjen Robben from 16 yards.
Shakhtar: Pyatov, Srna, Kucher, Rakitskiy, Shevchuk, Fred, Stepanenko, Costa, Teixeira, Taison, Adriano.
Bayern: Neuer, Ribery, Lewandowski, Robben, Rafinha, Boateng, Gotze, Muller, Alaba, Badstuber, Schweinsteiger.
Not a bad front five for Bayern Munich is it?
Bayern look in the mood. Robert Lewandowski does brilliantly down the left and his pull back is inches away from being touched into an empty net by a sliding Arjen Robben. Boss Pepe Guardiola puts his hands to his head but he must be elated with this start.
