Righto. Here's one last look at Celtic with the League Cup from me. You'll be able to see highlights of the game on Sportscene tonight at 22:30 on BBC One Scotland. The BBC Sport website will also provide highlights later on.

All of the action from yesterday's Premiership games will be online in 25 minutes or so.

Thanks for your company and enjoy what's left of the weekend.

So that's one down and two to go as Celtic seek a domestic treble. Dundee United are the opposition again on Wednesday to decide who goes on to face Inverness CT in the last four of the Scottish Cup.

In the Premiership, Ronny Deila's men are three points ahead of Aberdeen and have a game in hand.

Would you bet against a clean sweep?

So let's recap on a thoroughly deserved win for Celtic at Hampden.

Kris Commons slammed in the opening goal after his initial shot had been saved. United were down to 10 men at the time, with Sean Dillon having a gash on his shin attended to. Dillon would leave the pitch in the second half as well after picking up a red card for a crazy, studs-up challenge and from that point there was no way back for the underdogs.

James Forrest made sure with a composed finish then blotted his copybook with a dreadful penalty miss but I don't suppose too many Celtic fans will be upset about that.

There was a wee bit of spill-over from that late penalty miss from James Forrest. John Guidetti was still having a bit of sulk at full-time, thinking he should have taken it but he soon snapped out of it once the old bouncy routine started with the trophy.

That's five different winners in five years for this tournament, and Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon did not concede a single goal along the way.

The Celtic players' celebrations will probably not be too raucous since these teams meet again on Wednesday for a Scottish Cup quarter-final replay. I'm sure the supporters will indulge in a good old party though.

United boss Jackie McNamara must lift his side for that one and another trip to Celtic Park on league duty at the weekend.

Spare a thought for Dundee United, who have lost back-to-back finals - and it's worth mentioning that Radoslaw Cierzniak has saved three of the four penalties he has faced this season.

"It's a great feeling, it was a good game against a good side but we were disciplined and created the chances to win.

"It means a lot and hopefully this is just the start."

When asked about the prospect of landing the domestic treble in his first season, he tells BBC Scotland: "That's the dream."

    Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara

"When you compare the two penalty incidents, I don't think there is much difference. What we want is consistency from the officials. Our passing and decision-making let us down a bit but it's always hard playing with 10 men."

Celtic midfielder Kris Commons on BBC Radio Scotland

"This is one of three we want this year and it's another box ticked.

"It's a special moment for me, the first time I've won this trophy.

"They had nothing to lose, they tried to create chances, but I never thought we were in trouble

"I'm sick of being on bench or not involved when penalties are being taken. I'll be taking the next one!"

It's a first trophy for manager Ronny Deila as Celtic collect the League Cup for the 15th time. Kris Commons and James Forrest got the goals against 10-man Dundee United.

I'm pretty sure James Forrest will be at the back of the queue the next time Celtic win a penalty. Although at 2-0 up against 10 men in the last five minutes, it probably won't be a costly miss.

  20. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 16:49 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2015

After a wee debate with John Guidetti over who should take the spot-kick, James Forrest sends a dreadful effort down the middle and Radoslaw Cierzniak blocks - the substitute is after the rebound but can't force it on target under pressure from a cluster of men in tangerine.
