Will any English sides want Juventus in the last eight? Sorry, let me try that again, will any of Europe's finest want Juventus in the quarter-finals?

Manchester City are out as you probably already know and for the latest reaction from that game and this, follow our other European football live text right now. I'll bid you goodnight and thank you for being with us.

The draw is in Switzerland on Friday.

    Forze Juve.

What about that then? I think many expected a thrilling Borussia Dortmund to push and scrap for every inch of this but we have seen a procession.

Carlos Tevez crashed on in on three minutes, talk about an early bloodied nose for the home side. He then created the second for Alvaro Morata and added the third himself. A 5-1 aggregate win.

One added minute. A header on Buffon's goal will force a catch will it... no. He watches it loop over. An easy night for the veteran. He wouldn't have expected that.

  4. Ouch!published at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

Leonardo Bonucci does what every good defender should do and screams at Simone Pepe for his loose pass before collapsing to the floor in pain.

Bonucci had to slide awkwardly to prevent Adrian Ramos being in on goal as a result of Pepe's loose pass. The big centre back trots to the touchline and is clasping his shoulder. It was an awkward slide.

Patrice Evra shows he still has athleticism to match the young bucks as he leaps to intercept a cross-field pass. He is hobbling a bit as a result, maybe he doesn't have that spring after all.

So we will have one German side in the last-eight draw - Bayern Munich.

    One Italian side - Juventus.

    No English sides.

    Friday is draw day.

Dortmund have been miserable and Gundogan shoots pathetically wide from 18 yards. It's tame and way off line.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

Tevez's reward for his second and his assist of Morata's goal is to be taken off.

Not bad, two goals, an assist and 91% pass completion. Simone Pepe takes his place.

    Icing. On. Cake.

Remenber this man celebrating with a cheeky protest towards Manchester United decision makers as to why they didn't sign him. I think any Premier League side would love him now.

Again he capitalises as Dortmund's defensive line is not on the same wavelength and with a touch, he steadies himself and fires past Roman Weidenfeller from 20 yards. The keeper is a bit sluggish again and has not been great over two legs. Tevez has been superb.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

Off goes Alvaro Morata and on is Allessandro Matri. Adrian Ramos heads and forces Gianluigi Buffon into a save.

    Where does that leave us?

Dortmund now need to score four. That is not happening. The Champions League can produce drama to envy all the greats, Breaking Bad, Lost, Hornchurch, you name it, No twists here though.

Mats Hummels tries to head in from 12 yards but it's trickling across goal as Buffon watches on. He has touched the ball nine times.

No extra-time in Germany, no clue at the back for Dortmund, no problem for Alvaro Morata.

The former Real Madrid striker cannot miss as Carlos Tevez unselfishly lays a tap in on the plate.

Dortmund collectively summoned their inner Sunday League defender as two of their back four stepped up, two didn't and Carlos Tevez raced clear to square the ball and present an empty net.

Jackpot for the black and white stripes.

  13. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has had little impact but he's still putting himself about and when squeezed out by two defenders in the area a penalty shout goes up. Never happing though. Desperation from home fans and you can understand why.

  14. CLOSE!published at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

Neven Subotic at the back for Dortmund sees little alternative but to lash one on the volley and it deflects narrowly wide. All of 35 yards, a good hit.

Corner is dealt with. One of these days Gianluigi Buffon will look flustered.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

That was a double change for Dortmund.

Jakub Blaszczykowski and Adrian Ramos on, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Sven Bender off.

Where is the vibrant side we have come to know in Europe? Remember Dortmund were bottom of the Bundesliga only a couple of months back. This is stagnant and a throw back to that spell.

  16. Odds in Dortmund favour...published at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

In the Champions League round of 16, a first leg has finished 2-1 to the home team on eight previous occasions.

The first-leg victors won three of those ties (37.5%) with the beaten away team in the first game turning round the tie in the return to prevail in the other five (62.5%).

Time for change for Dortmund and boy do they need it. Juventus have to be admired, they have men in the right place at the right time whenever an attack builds near their area. It's no fluke, this is a well drilled side.

Adrián Ramos is coming on to try to change things. He last scored in October.

Kevin Kampl - not to be confused with Kevin Campbell of Everton and Arsenal fame - has a dig from range but Buffon saves easily.

My research tells me that if you find yourself in Dortmund and a bit peckish, opt for a "Salzkuchen mit Mett". This seems to be a sausage sandwich.

Beware though, this is not your typical banger. The spiced roll has seasoned mincemeat and onions. Not sure red or brown sauce will work.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

Arturo Vidal, to Evra, Pereyra is on it and drives forward through midfield for Juventus... outside of the right foot he flicks Alvaro Morata in, touch and finish needed... touch comes, finish comes... saved.

Another good shooting position for Morata but this time it is the goalkeeper's legs in the way. The Italian champions look more likely. They are sucking the life out of Dortmund.

  20. Postpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2015

Oliver Kirch has moved to right back and tries to start an attack but the move breaks down when Gabon's finest - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - delivers an overhit cross.

The striker has been poor tonight, just 11 touches. Only the goalkeepers have fewer of those left on the field.
