  2. Manager reactionpublished at 21:59 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Derby manager Steve McClaren told Sky Sports: "We have only ourselves to blame.

"We said at half-time 'let's be ruthless' and go for it. We got the goal and then we stopped. We thought the game was over. We were too negative and not ruthless enough.

"It kind of sums up the last three or four weeks. We are conceding two goals every game and they are poor goals. You can't go into games needing three goals to win and we needed that tonight.

"We have nobody to blame but ourselves for the situation we are in from where we were."

Derby boss Steve McClaren does not seem very happy with his side's defending. I'm not surprised either.

Middlesbrough are the big winners in the Championship today as they finish top of the pile, after moving above both Watford and Bournemouth with a win over Wigan.

Just two points separates the top four though with six games remaining. How's your bottle?

  5. Player reactionpublished at 21:52 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Derby striker Darren Bent, speaking to Sky Sports: "We had the better chances so we're disappointed. I thought we played really well. We know results went against us today but we still believe. There are six games left, and we need to win at least five of them. I'm sure we can get the top two."

  6. Player reactionpublished at 21:49 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Watford's man of the match: Adlene Guedioura: "I think it was unfair with the red card but we had to accept it and try to get back into the game. At half-time everyone in the dressing room was angry with the sending off and we wanted to fight in the second half to get a result.

"It's a big suspense in this Championship but it is our aim to finish on the top.

    Championship

Derby may still be in the play-off places but sixth is the lowest they have been since September. A hammer blow for the Rams, who now haven't won in seven.

    Former Portsmouth striker Steve Claridge
BBC Radio 5 live at Pride Park

"You wouldn't begrudge Watford a point from this game, as well as Derby played. They dug in after the sending off and scored a brilliant equaliser through Odion Ighalo, with Adlene Guedioura playing a fantastic pass to find him."

Watford fans are in party mood in the away end. They may not have got the win they needed to move top of the Championship but, 2-1 down and with a man light, they are right to be delighted with the point.

Derby on the other hand... there are a few glum faces around.

Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes tips over a header and that is that. A battling point for 10-man Watford and more disappointment for Derby.

  12. Postpublished at 21:39 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Another wasted delivery from Derby and Watford clear. Still the hosts come though but Johnny Russell's cross is cleared. Another corner. Last chance surely?

So close. Tom Ince's delicately chipped free-kick causes chaos in the Watford box but the ball is somehow hacked clear.

Tom Ince fouled by Craig Cathcart 25 yards out. Free-kick to Derby a chance. Can they win it?

Derby back in possession and they come forward again...

Ryan Shotton is bandaged up and ready to continue. Looks like Adlene Guedioura will continue as well. Both have to change shirts first though after a losing a bit of claret.

The packed Watford end are enjoying themselves. Probably more than Ryan Shotton and Adlene Guedioura, who hold their bloodied heads after a collision.
