A huge chance for Luis Suarez but the former Liverpool striker blazes over the bar from close range. The hosts, completely over-run in midfield, respond through Vicente Iborra but he cannot keep his shot down. Sevilla need to take chances like that if they are to get anything from this.

This is the stuff of champions. Another world-class goal from Neymar, the Brazil forward curling a free-kick over Sevilla's wall and into the net with keeper Sergio Rico rooted to his line. Brilliant. Sevilla are shell-shocked. Barcelona are rampant.

Very little from Sevilla's danger man Carlos Bacca so far. The Colombia striker has just had a run-in with Gerard Pique...and lost.

All the play taking place deep inside the Sevilla half. Neymar, Messi and Suarez are causing the white-shirted home defenders all sorts of problems. Finally some respite for the hosts as they win a free-kick inside the Barca half. It's wasted and here come Luis Enrique's men again.

Sevilla are desperately trying to get a foot hold into this game. The hosts have an excellent home record but nerves have got the better of Unai Emery's team so far. In contrast, Barca are classy, slick and menacing.

That's Messi's 45th competitive goal for Barcelona this season and Barca's 86th in La Liga. The leaders are off to a lightning start. They are passing the ball around like a team that knows a 23rd La Liga title is within touching distance.

Magnificent by Lionel Messi. There's too much backing off by Sevilla's defenders but Messi is still outside the penalty are as he produces a precision curler that leaves the home keeper flapping at thin air. Breathtaking stuff.

Free-kick to Barcelona but it is too far out for Lionel Messi to test the keeper. The Argentine whips the ball into the Sevilla area but it is well defended by Carlos Bacca. Messi then has a shot charged down before Neymar tests the keeper from outside the area. The visitors are beginning to stir.

Tight start with no serious chances for either team. There is no love lost between these two sides and Lionel Messi has already found himself on the end of one crunching challenge. This could be a bruiser.

Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan is packed to the rafters. The hosts are unbeaten in 14 months at home in La Liga. This is a huge test of their Champions League credentials.

Great entertainment but Atletico's title defence is surely over once and for all. They are eight points behind leaders Barcelona having played one game more. Malaga are without a win in four league games but stood tote-to-toe with the defending champions.

    Three minutes added time.

Both teams seem to have settled for a point. Atletico are seeing plenty of the ball in the closing stages but are happy to keep possession without threatening the Malaga goal.

Cracking save by Jan Oblak to deny Nordin Amrabat after the Malaga player turns and shoots on the edge of the area. A grandstand finish with chances at both ends. Five minutes of normal time remaining.

High drama as Antoine Griezmann lashes home from the edge of the six-yard area after Malaga fail to clear a ball into the area. But television replays show the Atletico man is a yard offside. Malaga's players are incensed. Welington leads the protests but the goal stands.

Atletico had won their previous three La Liga games without conceding yet Diego Simeone's side have looked very ordinary against Malaga. Their faint title hopes look over for good unless they can produce something special in the closing stages.
