Former England defender Stuart Pearce: "Two Leicester players bearing down on goal and the Newcastle runners left them. Wes Morgan was second in line and got the touch on it. Newcastle have conceded on two set plays which points to a lack of confidence and certainly a lack of leadership."

Former Republic of Ireland defender Kevin Kilbane: "Looking at Newcastle you thought they were home and dry prior to the losing run of their last seven games. Now all of a sudden they lose the derby against Sunderland and looked really poor. They did not lift their performance for that match, it was flat and there was no energy in the side. You fear for them in the position they are in."

"I don't believe it. Just what Derby needed, although they didn't really deserve it, and Darren Bent misses such a great opportunity to bring them back on level terms (see 13:02). Absolute heartbreak for the home side. This is Steve McClaren's biggest team-talk at half-time now."

"Where are the energy levels from Derby? They are stood on their heels! There has to be more urgency from the players because there is a place in the play-offs at stake.

"Steve McClaren has to settle them down at half-time. It looks like a lack of confidence from me. The players look like they are hiding a little bit - they don't want the ball in those little pockets, which is what they do best."

"After a frenetic opening to the game things have slowed down at The Valley. Bournemouth know their job is done, Charlton are offering very little going forward. They just need Watford to slip up now."

A third goal from a set-piece, and that leaves Ipswich in a heavy sweat!

Blackburn launch in a long throw, it's flicked on and Craig Conway nips in to fire home.

Ipswich are fifth - but a goal for Derby would knock Brentford out of contention.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:57 British Summer Time 2 May 2015

Derby goalkeeper Lee Grant keeps his side in the match with a sprawling save to his right. Oliver Norwood's curling free-kick looks like it will double the Royals' lead but Grant just gets there.

The Rams need just a point to secure a play-off spot.

Quality goal. Winger Nathan Redmond collects the ball on the left-had side of the area, switches it on to his right foot and bends one into the far corer. Easy street.

Shane Daly: Bournemouth are getting the job done themselves. I also think it's safe to say, welcome to the Premier League.

Matt Scarsbrook, Birmingham: I know it's a formality, but Bournemouth are promoted, they are not going to lose by 19 goals, they are going up with a goal-fest of 52 or more this year, it's a fairytale, something that we may never see again!

A few Brentford fans cheer Blackburn's equaliser at home to Ipswich but they need Mick McCarthy's men to lose to stand any chance of overhauling them.

As we stand though, Brentford will join Ipswich in the play-offs, due to Derby trailing at home to Reading.

Former England defender Stuart Pearce at the King Power Stadium: "If ever you could buy a start to a game then Leicester have done that. They got on the front foot, pressed the ball quickly, turned it over, got a corner and from that got themselves in front. That is a big goal, how Newcastle react will be interesting."
