"Siem De Jong's goal - having been out virtually all season with injury - was the only bright spot for Newcastle. Seven successive defeats for the Magpies who are in huge trouble. Swansea set a new club points record in the Premier League by reaching 50 for the season."
Alex Richardson in Sheffield: Is this really the same Newcastle team that beat the so-called invincible Chelsea side back in December?
Chris, Ex-NUFC fan in Towcester: Maybe we were a little hasty in getting rid of Joe Kinnear.
Siem De Jong finds himself on the ball but fires wide. And that is that. Seven straight defeats for Newcastle.
Swans keeper Lukasz Fabianski is busier now than he has been for the whole match. Marvin Emnes goes into the book for time-wasting.
Newcastle win a corner and everyone is up including Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul, who almost punches it into the net before Lukasz Fabianski claims. Er, you can't use your hands in that box Tim!
Vernon Anita delivers a deep cross but Swan keeper Lukasz Fabianski sprints from his goal-line to make a strong claim. Exactly what you need from your last defender when you're hanging on.
Four minutes of added time.
So what now Newcastle? Swansea do well to keep possession and keep their opponents out of their own half. The home fans are urging their team forward.
Wow, do we have a comeback on our hands? Out for most of the season but that doesn't stop Dutch striker Siem De Jong heading in Jack Colback's cross for his first of the season. Great timing.
Alas, the corner and a second one soon after are cleared by the Swansea defence. Swans skipper Ashley Williams has been a towering presence for his team today.

"Newcastle are already on 35 points. You wonder whether the bottom three will reach 35 points. There are only five or six games to go - if there were more games I would worry about Newcastle. But they will just about be ok."
Five minutes left and the bustle has gone out of this game, not helped by the vast swathes of empty seats. Newcastle need some energy and win a corner.
Dave Candlish in Gateshead: The only thing that will save Newcastle from going down is that there might just be three teams worse than them in the Premier League.
Peter Sagar in Newcastle: Mike Ashley is systematically destroying a once great club. He should be deemed not fit to own a football club.
Swansea goalscorer Gylfi Sigurdsson is now taking a well-earned rest. Marvin Emnes takes his place in midfield. Plenty of room now, you suspect another goal might be in the offing.
Jonjo Shelvey is on the attack now. The Swansea midfielder smacks it straight at Tim Krul as he almost punches it away.
Ayoze Perez on the run this time for Newcastle. He drives towards the edge of the penalty area, turns Ashley Williams but his effort from 20 yards is wide of the left-hand post.
Good chance for Ayoze Perez, who has time to steady himself as the ball drops to him 14 yards out, but his shot does not have enough power to beat Lukasz Fabianski. That could be costly.
Oh dear this could get worse for Newcastle. Fabricio Coloccini slides to block Gylfi Sigurdsson's goal-bound shot and it is out for a corner but the Swansea attack comes to an end.
Double change for Newcastle as Siem de Jong comes on to replace Remy Cabella. Adam Armstrong is on for Emmanuel Riviere. De Jong has been out injured since February. Can he be a saviour?
