Very nice goal and it's all down to the work of Jack Cork. He picks the ball up in midfield, threads his way towards the Newcastle penalty area, passes wide to Nelson Oliveira and receives the return pass to slot home.

That's time for Swansea's Jefferson Montero, who is replaced by Matt Grimes on the left.

The game is becoming a bit more stretched now. Jonjo Shelvey finds room to pick out Nathan Dyer on the right and the visitors are starting to find a passing rhythm.

Ryan Taylor now has the unenviable task of keeping Swansea winger Jefferson Montero in check. But the Ecuadorian looks like he is struggling with an injury too as Jack Colback shows some steel for Newcastle. They need it.

Leicester have just scored against Burnley to make it 1-0, meaning Newcastle are just five points above the relegation zone as it stands. They started the day seven points ahead.

Daryl Janmaat looks like he is struggling a bit. He's had a proper workout against Jefferson Montero. The Newcastle defender is replaced by midfielder Mehdi Abeid. Ryan Taylor goes into right-back.

More pressure as Newcastle win another corner after Ashley Williams heads clear. Ryan Taylor cannot find a target though. Ayoze Perez then tries his luck from a left-wing cross in open play but Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski gathers easily. No lack of effort from the hosts but lacking a bit of quality.

Nelson Oliveira is clean through on the Newcastle goal but the pass is just too long for him as Tim Krul races from his goal to clear. Jefferson Montero is starting to cause real problems fro Newcastle now. As if he hasn't already!

Frustration echoes around St James' Park as Jonas Gutierrez chops down Jonjo Shelvey. Newcastle have a corner with Ryan Taylor but Ashley Williams heads away.

That was Gylfi Sigurdsson's eighth goal of the season and Swansea are chasing a third consecutive win at St James' Park.

So much of that fast start by Newcastle. Looking a bit grim now for them. They are a side that is seriously short on confidence.

Poor clearance from Tim Krul, and when it is worked to Jefferson Montero on the left, his low cross is dummied by Nelson Oliveira allowing the onrushing Gylfi Sigurdsson to guide in from 10 yards. Nice goal.

Newcastle win an free-kick in Ryan Taylor territory about 30 yards out and to the left of the Swansea penalty area. But his shot narrowly misses the upright. Good effort.

Jefferson Montero versus Daryl Janmaat is one of the more intriguing battles so far. And they are at it again as Newcastle defender Janmaat forces his opponent back up the pitch.

Back under way, no changes to the two teams. Can Newcastle recover from that blow?
