Aston Villa are looking ragged. After that shocking opener, Jesus Navas gets the drop on Kieran Richardson down the right, scampering into space behind the defence.

Richardson just about gets back to cut off the angle, but a Yaya Toure pot-shot flies just wide from the resulting corner.

    Ominous.

    Brad Guzan, hang your head.

The Aston Villa goalkeeper, under little pressure, contrives to shank his clearance kick straight across his own six-yard box and into the path of Sergio Aguero. Who can't believe his luck.

It's a tap-in from three yards and an absolute gift.

It looks like Aston Villa have lined up with Jack Grealish lurking in the hole behind Christian Benteke.

Tom Cleverley and Fabian Delph are just behind Grealish in an attacking triangle.

"In goal, England's number one Joe Hart."

The City tannoy man reads out the home side as the two teams gets themselves line-up.

The response to Yaya Toure's name was half-hearted cheers. The Ivory Coast midfielder's agent has been in the papers this week suggesting his client might like a new challenge next season.

    Big game for this lad.

After out-running and out-thinking Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson in last weekend's FA Cup semi-final, Jack Grealish will be itching to get a free-wheeling Yaya Toure and Fernando.

The Etihad Stadium crowd is currently entertaining itself by punching two giant inflatable balls around the stands.

Weirdly watchable though it is, I think we could do with the teams out.

    Any minute now...

    "Doing a Wigan."

No team had won the FA Cup and been relegated in the same season before the Latics' bitter sweet 2012-13 campaign.

Villa could yet pull off an unwanted repeat.

With Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham all drawing today, Manchester City can tighten their grip on a top-four spot with victory.

With Sunderland, Hull and Leicester all picking up points, Aston Villa can't get too carried away with Cup fever just yet.

Plenty to play for in this one.
