Which Championship side would survive in the Premier League, should they clinch promotion?

Rishabh Kapoor: Any of the three sides promoted will struggle. This Premier League season pretty much proves it. The current bottom three were promoted.

  9. Berra sounds Cardiff warningpublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

    Ipswich Town striker Daryl Murphy

Defender Christophe Berra fears mid-table Cardiff could seriously damage Ipswich's promotion hopes. Cardiff are one of the few Championship clubs entering the last four games who cannot be promoted or relegated. "It can be a danger playing teams with not a lot to play for but we will remain professional as always," says Berra. Mick McCarthy's Ipswich start six in the table, one point behind fifth-placed Derby but level on points with Brentford and Wolves who are seventh and eighth respectively.

BBC Sport's Brendon Mitchell at Valley Parade: "League One leaders Bristol City, who've spent 28 out of 36 weeks of this season perched at the top of the table, could get across the line with victory over Bradford City this evening.

"There's been plenty of talk about the pitch here at Valley Parade this year but, other than this rather sparse-looking area in front of the goal, it's not too bad on the whole."

  11. Promotion double headers for Boropublished at 19:31 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

Paul Merson and Paul Gascoigne celebrate with Middlesbrough

What a huge few days for Middlesbrough. The Championship's fourth-placed team entertain promotion rivals Wolves before travelling to second-placed Norwich on Friday.

"The next step for us is to win on Tuesday because then we think about Norwich, and a challenge for promotion," says Boro boss Aitor Karanka., external "It's no good people talking about the Norwich game because if we don't win against Wolves it might not count as much.

"I don't think anybody at the beginning of the season expected Boro to be fighting with the top three at this moment and just two points below the top. We have to know how difficult this season has been for us, how good we are when we play our best and how capable we are of winning games."

  12. Promotion party for Shrewsbury?published at 19:28 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

In League Two, Shrewsbury Town will clinch promotion back to the third tier if they win at fourth-placed Bury and Southend United, in fifth, fail to beat Newport County.

Leaders Burton are not in action until Wednesday, but third-placed Wycombe host Exeter tonight hoping to extend the four point gap between them and the Shakers.

At the other end, the bottom two of Tranmere and Cheltenham face fellow strugglers Mansfield and Cambridge.

  13. Five wins in a row for Norwich?published at 19:26 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

Norwich City have hit form at the right time but boss Alex Neil is taking nothing for granted. The Canaries, second in the table, are at Leeds seeking a fifth straight league win. "We've got four games left so we need to continue that momentum, and if we do that I believe we'll be where we want to be," says the former Hamilton manager., external "We've got good momentum at the moment, we've got big belief and we've got to go to Leeds and make sure we put on a good performance."

Potton Hornet: "We are all keen to see what resources the Pozzos would throw at the Premier League challenge for Watford, and how Troy Deeney would do."

Tyrone Bradford: "I think any promoted team from the Championship will struggle defensively in the top flight."

  15. Champagne night for Bristol City?published at 19:23 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

It's not just the Championship we'll be focusing on. There are some pretty important issues that could be sorted out tonight elsewhere.

Runaway League One leaders Bristol City could be promoted to the Championship tonight, should the beat Bradford City at Valley Parade, while second-placed Preston could edge closer to automatic promotion at home to Gillingham.

At the bottom, Yeovil are already down, but only nine points separate 15th-placed Walsall and Colchester in 23rd. Getting tasty down there.

Can Derby County rediscover the form that took them top of the table earlier in the season in time to save their campaign? The Rams are fifth in the table but have won just once in nine league games. This is not a good time to have a blip with the finishing line in sight. But manager Steve McClaren will be confident his side can return to winning ways against already relegated Blackpool.

There are still 12 points to play for at the top of the Championship but a few things can be sorted out in the next three hours or so.

Bournemouth will earn at least a play-off spot if they win and and at least two of Derby, Ipswich, Brentford and Wolves fail to win. A draw will be good enough for Eddie Howe's team if at least two of Ipswich, Brentford and Wolves lose.

Norwich will book a play-off place if they win and at least two of Ipswich, Brentford and Wolves fail to win. They can seal a top-six place with a point but will need Derby to lose and one of Ipswich, Brentford and Wolves to fail to win.

Middlesbrough will guarantee at least a play-off place if they beat Wolves and either Ipswich or Brentford lose.

Everyone got that? Good. I'm going for a lie down.
