Now we look ahead to the Scottish Cup final. How many people predicted Inverness CT v Falkirk on 30 May? It might not be a sell-out but I'm sure it will be a fantastic day for the supporters and more than a few hangers-on.

"I don't think I have to say too much about it [the handball that was not spotted by officials before half-time]. People can see for themselves.

"We had control and created big chances in the first half. We should have scored more. The game switched when we got a man sent off and we lost the ball too much as the players got tired.

"There is no problem with our red card. If it is a penalty, it is a red card.

"We give credit to Inverness and start concentrating on a big game in the league on Wednesday. The most important thing is the league.

"You get disappointment in football and you need to deal with failure. Today was a big day and we were close."

    Inverness CT match-winner David Raven

"It must have been great to watch. Let's be honest, the red card totally changed the game and gave us the impetus.

"The manager is off his head, he's crazy, but he's got us all playing for each other and playing well."

The Hampden winner was the full-back's third career goal.

"Not bad for 500 games," he added.

    BBC Sportsound pundit Murdo MacLeod

"For long spells Caley Thistle were superb. The whole game changed when Celtic lost their goalkeeper but it wasn't just that because James Forrest had to go off after the red card and he was one of the best performers. Inverness never rushed it, they kept the ball well and just kept coming forward."

    Inverness CT manager John Hughes

"We got a break but we've worked ever so hard. I thought my boys were outstanding. We lost our top striker at Christmas, we lost our inspirational captain at the start of the season and our goalkeeper last week but the boys just keep digging in."

Inverness reached their first major final last season, only to lose the League Cup decider to Aberdeen on penalty kicks. How will they fare in their first Scottish Cup final? St Johnstone showed the way last year - winning it at the first time of asking.

And with that defeat Celtic dreams of a treble go up in smoke. Manager Ronny Deila has already had a quick word with the officials and no doubt the subject of a clear handball denying a goal being missed on the stroke of half-time will have been raised.

It's Inverness who get a great chance as the ball lands at the feet of David Ofere inside the box and he fluffs a terrible shot miles wide when he had time to compose himself.

The Inverness full-backs have been the stars of the show since Celtic were reduced to 10 men and they combine to give the Highlanders the lead again. Graeme Shinnie drives on to a great through ball from Nick Ross and smashes it across goal with David Raven arriving at the back stick to slam a shot in from a tight angle.

No sign of either side settling for penalties as the players drag their weary limbs up and down the park at a rapid rate of knots. However, they do get a breather when Aleksander Tonev swipes a woeful shot out of play.
