Earl Cagney: QPR have been awful most of the season, poorly run club, no fight in them at all. Needs a overhaul in summer...big Sam?

Alex Kraushaar: Feel sorry for Chris Ramsey, no manager in the world could do anything with this QPR squad. Dreadful.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant by Manchester City who are saving their best for last. Sergio Aguero's pass with the outside of his boot finds Wilfried Bony whose brilliant back-pass lets in David Silva to round the keeper and score. Terrific stuff by Bony.

Huge applause for former City player Shaun Wright-Phillips as he replaces Yun Suk-Young. They haven't forgotten his efforts in these parts.

  4. Wasteful Milner...published at 15:11 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

James Milner may well be covering ground like Forrest Gump but his passing is dreadful today.

He has completed just 57% of his passes, the only outfield player with a lower mark is Steven Caulker on 44%.

Six minutes left. The TV cameras zoom in on QPR's travelling fans. No tears being shed - in public at least - yet. Another City goal and that might change.

No mercy from City. The home fans are thirsty for more goals and Wilfried Bony wants to oblige. The substitute rattles a post with a thumping effort.

Would Sandro have made any difference for QPR? The Brazilian is missing because of a visa issue. Perhaps if Chris Ramsey sends him on now the game might have to be replayed. It's QPR's only hope.

Queens Park Rangers have completed 383 sprints in this game, Manchester City 410.

  9. Postpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

This will be win number four on the bounce for Manchester City.

If only they could have been more consistent earlier in the season then we might have had a more thrilling title race.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

One of the biggest cheers of the game as Yaya Toure lifts his powerful frame off the substitutes bench to replace Fernandinho.

  11. Postpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

There is a right way and a wrong way to be relegated. Burnley did it with a battling victory at Hull City. QPR have done it by raising the white flag from the first minute at the Etihad.

    Steve Bower
BBC Match of the Day commentator at the Etihad Stadium

"This is a capitulation from Queens Park Rangers. This is one of the strangest games I have witnessed in a long time. Quite simply from the first whistle QPR simply didn't believe and some of their fans have already seen enough."

Too easy. Far too easy. Substitute Wilfried Bony wins a corner after forcing Robert Green into a save. Bony then wins a header, Sergio Aguero turns the ball across the six-yard line and James Milner taps home. QPR's players don't know where to look.

  14. GET INVOLVEDpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

Naveed Afzal: The attitude/application of the majority of these QPR players is an absolute disgrace. I'm enraged and I don't even like QPR.

Stepan Benyovszky: What a symbolic way to go for a side thoroughly deserving relegation throughout the whole season.

  15. Postpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

    Steve Bower
BBC Match of the Day commentator at the Etihad Stadium

"This disastrous day for Queens Park Rangers gets worse. They are heading for the Championship and heading there on the end of another heavy defeat. That is Aguero's fifth hat-trick for Manchester City, 25 goals for the season, five of them have come against Queens Park Rangers."

  16. GOALpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

Bang! Sergio Aguero sends Robert Green the wrong way and the Argentine has his fifth hat-trick in a Manchester City shirt. QPR are down and out.

  17. PENALTY TO MAN CITYpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

David Silva is brought down by Matt Phillips and the referee points straight to the spot. Is this Sergio Aguero's hat-trick?

  18. Postpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

Joey Barton is booked for a foul on Pablo Zabaleta. Signs of frustration from QPR's former Manchester City man. No sign of fight from QPR.

  19. Postpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

David Silva has hardly put a foot wrong but the Spanish midfielder is thwarted by a fine Robert Green save when he should have passed to unmarked team-mate Sergio Aguero to complete his hat-trick.

  20. Running man...published at 14:46 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

It was the Manchester 10k today and it wouldn't be surprising if James Milner took the course on before playing here. The City man loves a run...
