There were 20 shots on target in this afternoon's match at the Liberty Stadium; the most in the Premier League this season. The last game to have more than 20 was Man Utd's infamous 8-2 win over Arsenal in August 2011, which produced 22.

How about that for a neat hand-over to Manchester v Arsenal, which you can follow here.

    I'm done. Goodbye.

The Conference play-off final rumbles on at Wembley with nothing to separate Grimsby and Bristol Rovers, who are tied at 1-1. Will that game all the way to the drama of penalties? You can find out by following updates during Manchester United's game with Arsenal, which you can find here.

  3. 'It feels like my garden here'published at 16:12 British Summer Time 17 May 2015

Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, speaking to BBC Sport: "It's crazy for me to come here and not go left to the home dressing room. But that's the way football works. I have to adapt to that.

"The Swansea fans gave me a good reception and good motivation too. When I got a chance, I scored. It was a strange moment when I scored. This team did a lot for me - and the fans too. We've been here together. But we have to deal with that.

"I feel it's like my garden here. I know the pitch here so well. I had a good relationship with the fans here. The feeling is to leave that situation in a good way.

"There's more to come from me. I went to Africa Cup of Nations in January and came back tired. I have to finish the season well. We have one game left, I want to win and score. The important thing is to prepare myself well for next season."

I'm just watching the replays of the Manchester City goals from the Liberty Stadium. They're not a bad bunch at all. However, they are almost overshadowed by a truly awful kit crime from the deposed champions. Who signed off on purple? It's like watching a Ribena* advert.

Yaya Toure was a pivotal figure in the game at the Liberty Stadium. But then he tends to do well against the Welsh side. He has scored four and assisted another in his last four Premier League appearances against the Swans. The Ivorian midfielder scored his 50th Premier League goal, becoming the fourth player to reach this milestone for Manchester City, after Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko. He then added a 51st for good measure.

  7. Manager reactionpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 17 May 2015

Swansea manager Garry Monk: "I am disappointed with the result but once again the players' character and commitment was there to see. Our management of certain periods of the game didn't help us but we were playing against a very good team. I thought we could have got something out of the game but it want to be.

On Joe Hart's save: "It was a fantastic save but that is why he is an excellent keeper."

On his own keeper Lukasz Fabianski, who made a mistake for Man City's first goal: "I'll allow Lukasz one mistake this season. He has been fantastic for us this season, as has the rest of the team. The quality was there again and if we had taken our chances, maybe we could have come away with something."

  8. Postpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 17 May 2015

Garry Monk has completed the lap of honour following his side's final game of the season and is now speaking to the media.

He's had some kind words for Lukasz Fabianski, despite the keeper arguably being at fault for two of Manchester City's goals.

  11. manager reactionpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 17 May 2015

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini: "It was an attractive game for the fans. We needed to win to ensure we were in Europe. It was an open game. We concede two easy goals but I am happy with the performance against a good team."

On Joe Hart's save: "The most important thing is the moment he made it. But I am glad in the personality of the team to go for the game right from the beginning."

On Yaya Toure: "I didn't have any doubt about Yaya. Maybe the media started with him after his birthday. After that he went to Africa Cup and we couldn't win. Maybe an important player has more criticism but I never had doubts."

On next season: "I try to learn every day. We know we are in a difficult league. There are four or five teams with a strong squad and the same money to spend. If you don't win the league it is important to finish as strong as you can. It is important for me, the team and the project to believe in what we do. You must have conviction and I have it to be a strong team next season and go for the title."

Mark Taylor:, external All this not celebrating a goal against your old team. PATHETIC. You left to get more money with your new team. Get over it.

Rob Meech:, external Joe Hart is constantly overlooked in the best keeper debate. Why? Been arguably City's best player this season.

Manchester City celebrate Bony's goalImage source, Getty Images

Wilfried Bony's goal against his former club is the last meaningful action of a superb match. It had just about everything: one team storming into the lead, the other hitting back, goalkeeping errors and brilliance (one save from Joe Hart in particular), a goal from a player against his former club and a deserved winner.

Over to you Manchester United and Arsenal. Follow that.

BBC Radio Manchester summariser Fred Eyre: "That was a cooly-taken goal, he did not snatch, kept ice calm and slid it in. It hit the post, could have gone anywhere but rolled along the line and in. A very cleverly taken goal."

That is the end of that. Manchester City have this game wrapped up. And the goal has come from a man who knows better than anyone on the pitch what it is like to score on this ground: Wilfried Bony. It is a superb low finish from the edge of the box that finds the net off the base of the post. There is no celebration from Bony, who gets applause from the home fans as a result.
