That's a decent chance for the visitors as Daryl Murphy heads over from Kevin Bru's set-piece delivery. A slight let-off for the hosts.

"Norwich know how to work this Carrow Road crowd, bringing out six club legends including Darren Huckerby and Leon Mackenzie to rapturous applause before the game. The atmosphere in here is white hot."

Here we go then, this is it.

One of these teams will be walking up Wembley Way, a week on Monday.

The other will face a trip to Stadium Way, Grafton Street, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, to face newly-promoted MK Dons next season.

If that's left you blue, Ipswich fans, here's a reason to be cheerful.

Ipswich's last win at Carrow Road came in February 2006 when a late Gary Doherty own goal gave them all three points in a 2-1 win.

Jonathan Johansson had put the Canaries ahead just after the half hour, but that was soon cancelled out by Jimmy Juan.

Norwich fans might quite enjoy this. Ipswich fans look away now.

If you were following the form guide in this fixture then you would have to fancy the Canaries. Here's why:

Norwich have won each of their last three at Carrow Road against Ipswich, and are unbeaten in five against their rivals.

Ipswich have gone seven away games against the Canaries without a clean sheet and are winless in five East Anglian derbies.

Ipswich haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last 15 matches against Norwich.

And finally... Ipswich have never won an away leg of a play-off tie before.

What a time this would be to break that duck.

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is in his fourth play-off campaign as a manager - and he's yet to get past the semi-final stage.

The former Republic of Ireland boss lost out at the last four stage with Millwall, Sunderland and Wolves, but will be hoping the Tractor Boys can help him banish the play-off blues.

  12. Wembley talk not bannedpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy has led both Sunderland and Wolves to automatic promotion, but has never been to a play-off final.

But he hasn't been banning talk of a potential trip down Wembley way.

"Talk of Wembley isn't banned, why would we? We're excited about the prospect of getting to Wembley and perhaps getting to the Premier League," he said.

"I don't think either team deserved to win the game [at Portman Road] but I'd settle for playing as well as that again.

"They're the favourites as the home team, just as we expect to win when we're at home."

  13. The Neil effectpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

Alex Neil has certainly made an impact at Norwich - even if still needs to finish his coaching badges.

The 33-year-old replaced Neil Adams in January with the club seventh in the Championship, three points outside the play-offs.

He led them to a third-placed finish and, as you can see, his record has been pretty impressive.

There's bound to be tension at Carrow Road with so much at stake.

But Norwich boss Alex Neil believes that could be to his side's advantage.

"The build-up to big matches is important to get everybody prepared and focused and hopefully we can make it as good an occasion as everybody expects it to be," he said.

"I don't think a little bit of nerves is a bad thing. I think if anything it just shows the importance of the game and also how important it is to them and how much they want to succeed and make sure they move on to the next match.

"It only becomes an issue if it starts to affect your performance and I don't think that'll be the case."

  15. Norwich Grabban the league pointspublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

It was the Canaries who were singing after the two league meetings between the sides.

Summer signing from Bournemouth Lewis Grabban scored the only goal as Neil Adams's Norwich won 1-0 at Portman Road back in August.

And he was on target again, alongside Bradley Johnson, in the return at Carrow Road in March as the Canaries, by now under the leadership of Alex Neil, ran out 2-0 victors.

"This game barely needs an introduction, but I'm going to try and do it justice anyway.

"The intensity of the first half of last week's 1-1 draw at Portman Road encapsulated all that is great not only about the East Anglian derby, but about the play-offs in general.

"That these two great giants of the East should meet to fight for a place in the top flight is a strange twist of fate.

"But the former stars are out in force at Carrow Road today, including George Burley, the only manager to have been promoted with Ipswich via the play-offs in their seven attempts.

"Six of those have ended at the semi-final stage, and Norwich will hope to make it seven today as they bid to make an instant return to the top flight."

  18. Boro awaitpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

Middlesbrough have already booked their place in the final, after a convincing 5-1 aggregate win over Brentford.

Leading 2-1 after the first leg, Aitor Karanka's side scored three times without reply at the Riverside on Friday night to seal a first visit to Wembley since 1998.

Lee Tomlin, Kike and Albert Adomah grabbed the goals on a memorable night for Boro and their fans.
