    Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis starts only his second game of the tournament for Argentina in place of Ezequiel Garay, who is ill.

    Argentina XI:  Romero, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Otamendi, Rojo, Biglia, Mascherano, Pastore, Messi, Aguero, Di María.

    One change for Paraguay from the side that started the penalty shootout win over Brazil in the quarter-finals, midfielder Richard Ortiz starting in place of Eduardo Aranda.

    Lionel Messi was just six-years-old when two goals by Gabriel Batistuta helped them overcome Mexico 2-1 in the 1993 Copa America final.
