  1. RED CARD - Aleksandar Mitrovicpublished at 13:02

    Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal

He can't believe it, but Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is off for Newcastle.

It's a classic forward's challenge really, a bad touch, another bad touch and then a stretch to retrieve it. Instead he rakes down the shin of Francis Coquelin. Over the top of the ball, ugly. A straight red though?

"I think Hector Bellerin gets trodden on. It doesn't have to be intentional. By the letter of the law, that should have been a penalty."

  3. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 13:00

    Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal should have a penalty as Hector Bellerin is baulked going into the box - a stonewaller if ever there was one. Referee says no!

"You need to play to Theo Walcott's strengths. Get the ball in behind the Newcastle defence. But Steve McClaren is quite shrewd and will have changed his tactics."

"Looking at the game so far, I have concerns for Arsenal. Theo Walcott is not a target man. It's going to have to be that perfect tippy-tappy goal."

  8. CLOSE!published at 12:54

    Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal have had 77% of the early play without hurting Newcastle - but hang on! A neat move involving Hector Bellerin sends Theo Walcott in behind and he is closed down superbly by Tim Krul, who smothers his shot. Good goalkeeping.

GOAL - Derby 0-1 Leedspublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 29 August 2015

    Tom Adeyemi (43 mins)

Leeds have bossed the first half and have the lead they deserve as former Norwich midfielder Tom Adeyemi ghosts in to head his first goal for the club. Stuart Dallas was afforded space from a short corner to deliver, and Adeyemi did the rest. Derby have been poor.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:49

    Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal

'Get into 'em!' was obviously the war cry in the Newcastle changing room before the game as they hound Arsenal at every chance. Moussa Sissoko gets carried away though, treading on Nacho Monreal and that's a yellow all day.

Here come the players at St James'. Theo Walcott up front today, is that the answer? I still reckon the Gunners need a better striker.

But which other athletes would you pick in a track & Field XI, and why?

Got to be Daley Thompson in midfield for me. Iron man.
