    Alistair Mann
    Match of the Day commentator

"There seems no logical reason why this match should be anything other than a routine home win - doubtless the word "complacency" will be uttered around Etihad Stadium in order to guarantee the home side's focus is unwavering.

"However, it was this time last season when Manchester City first came unstuck in the defence of their title, losing unexpectedly at home to Stoke.

"Home draws against Burnley and Hull demonstrated last term that their glittering array of talent can be susceptible to a drop in intensity against so called "lesser" opposition.

"Like City, Watford are unbeaten and, having secured an excellent draw at Everton on the opening day, they appear to have sufficient stoicism to be competitive."

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores made 11 changes for the midweek Capital One defeat by Preston, and makes 10 this time as he reverts to the core of the team that drew 0-0 with Southampton last week. The only difference is that Almen Abdi is picked in midfield ahead of Ikechi Anya.

Man City v Watford (15:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
BBC Radio 5 live at King Power Stadium

Speaking of predictions, here is Lawro with his take on today's clash at Etihad Stadium...

Lawro says: "I am a fan of Watford boss Quique Flores but it is asking a lot for his team to get a fourth draw of the season against Manchester City.

"City's present system makes the pitch bigger, stretches play and allows David Silva more room to play in the middle - when that happens, it is a case of 'all the best' to the opposition."
