You have to say West Brom have yet to really trouble the nine men of Stoke. New Baggies signing Salomon Rondon heads another chance tamely wide. 

Just a few more minutes for Stoke to hold out until half-time.

You get the feeling Mark Hughes is going to vent his anger at Michael Oliver. The Stoke boss has not calmed down. He looks livid.

Rickie Lambert does not need much time to get in the thick of the action. He tests Jack Butland with a stinging shot. The Stoke keeper deals with it by tipping the ball over the bar.

Incredible scenes at the Britannia. 

Mark Hughes is not hiding his fury on the touchline after seeing two of his player sent off in the space of a few minutes.

There's still another 55 minutes left. West Brom must surely fancy their first Premier League win in five games.

Stoke are self destructing. Charlie Adam is shown a straight red for a foul on Craig Dawson. The Potters are down to nine men.

I'd be lying if I said this is a cracker. It's not. Baggies captain Darren Fletcher is hobbling after a heavy challenge from Charlie Adam which goes unpunished.

You wonder if Stoke will be made to pay for not taking advantage of all this possession. Baggies keeper Boaz Myhill has made two comfortable saves, with the visiting defence coping pretty well with everything that has been thrown at them. 

Stoke win a free-kick 35 yards out. Charlie Adam fancies this. The midfielder takes a hard look at the West Brom net before firing...tamely at the keeper.

Nothing to trouble Boaz Myhill there.
