  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:13

    Leicester 3-0 Sunderland

Dick Advocaat shed tears of joy when Sunderland secured Premier League survival near the end of last season. He must feel like shedding a few more watching this display. It should be six or even seven for Leicester. New signing Adam Matthews has come on for the Black Cats.

    Everton 0-1 Watford

Much better from Everton as they start to claw at the Watford defence.

First, Romelu Lukaku heads just wide when he meets Ross Barkley's cross before James McCarthy's dangerous low cross is well defended by Craig Cathcart.

Can Watford keep them at bay here?

  3. CLOSE!published at 16:10

    Leicester 3-0 Sunderland 0

Electric burst of pace by Jamie Vardy as he scampers down the flank before cutting into the Sunderland area and dinking the ball past Costel Pantilimon...and just past the post. So close to 4-0.

Norwich 0-2 Crystal Palace - Damien Delaney (50 mins)

Superb start to the second half by Crystal Palace as Pape Souare (23) knocks the ball down inside the Norwich area and Damien Delaney (27) is on hand to lash home. Tough task for Norwich to avoid an opening day defeat now.

    Everton 0-1 Watford

A bit more zip about Everton at the start of the second half and they win a corner inside 90 seconds. Kevin Mirallas takes it, but sends the ball far too deep and the opportunity is gone.

Not often you hear a manager singing in the news conference but Louis van Gaal is a law unto himself. When he was asked if it was his birthday today, he replied: "64 - the Beatles had a song about it" and then started singing it himself, before adding "When you hear what they are singing about, all my wishes are fulfilled."

I said before the game that the Leicester fans might be feeling a bit deflated by everything. They won't be now. What a start."

That would have been the perfect time to score a goal for Eddie Howe's side. Marc Pugh did everything he could do - unfortunately the effort was straight at Brad Guzan."

    Bournemouth 0-0 Aston Villa

Goalless but Bournemouth have spurned another chance. Marc Pugh is denied by Brad Guzen from 12 yards but the Cherries midfielder should have done better.

Norwich started brightly, but left Wilfried Zaha alone for one minute and he punished them. The forward seems to have found his form back at Palace and under Alan Pardew.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:47

    Leicester 3-0 Sunderland

Leicester are ending the half the way they started it - on the attack. Terrific full stretch stop by Costel Pantilimon to keep out Danny Drinkwater from 30 yards.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47

    Everton 0-1 Watford

    Boos at half time.

I think many Everton fans at Goodison would rather be pottering in the garden or wandering around the shops.
