Kevin de Bruyne's first involvement and it almost creates a goal. His ball into Wilfried Bony sees the striker turn smartly before shooting low at goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from 10 yards. The shot is spilled, Samir Nasri pulls it back and Bony's second effort is saved.

Looking at the replays, City boss Manuel Pellegrini did briefly lay his hands on Palace's Alan Pardew in their confrontation on the sidelines. It ended amicably enough though with a handshake between the two. It is all a bit scrappy...

This doesn't look good for Sergio Aguero. His race is run. The Manchester City forward is down again, holding his knee, and he looks pretty miffed. He is limping away and off - meaning £55m man Kevin de Bruyne is on. Debut for the Belgian but shocking news for City ahead of their Champions League test against Juventus on Tuesday.

Sergio Aguero is back on but isn't running freely. We will keep an eye on that one.

More injury problems for Manchester City with forward Sergio Aguero in trouble after a late challenge from Scott Dann. City are without David Silva and Raheem Sterling already today and face Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday...

Dann is booked and Aguero limps off for more treatment.

Yannick Bolasie is causing all sorts of problems for Manchester City. This time he makes his way to the bye line before pulling back to Yohan Cabaye - on the six-yard box. The Frenchman goes down in the penalty area but nothing doing and the ball is cleared.

City are struggling to get their game going early on but, finally, they have a passage of play around Palace's box but the hosts stay organised and clear well.

Palace continue to cause problems down City's flanks, this time, Wilfried Zaha is downed on the left side to force a free-kick near the corner flag. Jason Puncheon drills the ball in, it is half cleared, but Papa Souare volleys a shot inches wide of the far post.

Almost all of Crystal Palace's attacks are coming down the right flank so far, through Yannick Bolasie and Bakary Sako.

Yannick Bolasie has not scored at Selhurst Park since January 2013 but he comes close here. The former Bristol City man chases onto a through ball by Jason Puncheon but his low shot across goal is held by Joe Hart. A cracking start from two teams high on confidence.
