What an atmosphere in Porto! Ringing out. If there's a side who have made more money from selling players in the last 10 years than Porto I'd like to hear it...

    Arsenal v Olympiakos (19:45 BST)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates

"One very familiar figure will be in opposition to Arsenal tonight in the shape of Esteban Cambiasso, the 35-year-old Argentine midfielder who won the Champions League under Jose Mourinho with Inter Milan in 2010.

"He is remembered more recently for becoming a cult hero at Leicester City for his outstanding performances as they staged a superb late rally to avoid relegation from the Premier League last season - ensuring he will always be recalled with huge respect and admiration."

Vishnu might be winning so far. Though I do like the thought of Manuel Pellegrini as some sort of spy.

He'd hold up well under interrogation.

Borussia Monchengladbach v Man City (Weds, 19:45 BST)

    Conor McNamara
BBC Radio 5 live at the Philips Stadion

Borussia Monchengladbach's Borussia Park is an impressive modern structure on the edge of the town.

The facilities are certainly worthy of the Champions League, but this is the club's first home game in the European Cup proper for 37 years.

The local weather forecast is good for the game tomorrow as Manchester City try to play catch-up in their group after losing the opening game to Juventus.

City did not train at the stadium tonight, they did their session in Manchester before flying to Germnay. Joe Hart, David Silva and Yaya Toure (all recent injury concerns) too part in the session.

Like a cheese and onion quiche, or a springer spaniel, Olympiakos do not travel well.

They have lost five away games in a row in the Champions League and six in succession in all European competition.

They have lost on each of their 12 visits to England, conceding 37 goals and scoring only three.

    Porto v Chelsea (19:45 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
BBC Radio 5 live in the Estadio do Dragao

"Nearly all the players that performed so well for Chelsea have been very poor this season. One of them, Diego Costa, has got to start just playing football, for me.

"If he wants to get involved with everyone else on the pitch that is all well and good, but he's got to start performing.

"I've got a sneaking suspicion that not all is well between him and Jose Mourinho. I don’t think he is going to hang around in England too long."

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho on BT Sport: "Probably the most difficult of the group stage games. A real opponent for first place in the group.

"I have brought in some fresh players because Porto had an extra day in the league. I know the game will be intense, they are powerful and have physicality and quality."

Barcelona v Bayer Leverkusen (19:45 BST)

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is impossible to replace, boss Luis Enrique said in the build up to tonight's game with Bayer Leverkusen.

Messi, 28, will be out for seven to eight weeks after tearing a ligament in his left knee during a 2-1 win over Las Palmas on Saturday.

"It's a challenge for us to be without the best player in the world," said Enrique on Monday.

"It also provides an incentive for us."

Messi scored 43 La Liga goals last season in addition to a further 10 in the Champions League as Barca were crowned champions of Europe.

The 28-year-old stands second - three behind Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo - in the list of all-time top scorers in European Cup history on 77 goals.
