Seconds left. Chelsea pump the ball forward but West Ham clear. John Obi Mikel becomes the sixth Chelsea player to be booked for fouling Dimitri Payet.

Willian takes the free-kick and swings it into the area... but it is easily cleared.

Hang on a minute... we might not be done yet. Chelsea have won a free-kick on the edge of the West Ham box.

As Eamonn says below, Radamel Falcao is on for Chelsea.

West Ham are seeing out time here. Chelsea seem to have run out of ideas, and they are heading for their fifth defeat in their first 10 league games. That is more like relegation form than a title defence.

While Andy Carroll's header may have been a no-nonsense finish, his team built and pressured Chelsea into submission before the decisive blow came. A John Terry header cleared the first wave of attack but the Hammers came back for more.

"That's why Andy Carroll is in the team! Chelsea had a chance to clear it moments before but the ball came into the box and they have been punished for not doing so. When Carroll 100 per cent fit he is incredibly difficult to handle." 

This game is finely poised. West Ham are sending more and more men forward and putting lots of balls into the box for Andy Carroll.

Chelsea are defending grimly but look dangerous on the break - Eden Hazard just escaped down the left but Willian could not convert his pull-back in the box.

Chelsea have had plenty of cards today, but this is West Ham's first - Cheikhou Kouyate goes into Jon Moss's book for a foul on Ramires.

West Ham continue to probe. Chelsea continue to sit in their own half and defend their point.

Yep, it's time for a Hammers change. Mauro Zarate makes way for human battering-ram Andy Carroll to give Chelsea's defence a different sort of test.

Chelsea's 10 men look pretty compact when they are defending and they are very well organised. Even when West Ham get behind them out wide, there are always plenty of men in blue shirts to clear when the ball comes into the box.
