"Harry Kane is at full stretch but has got the touch he needed. It was all about the next goal in this game, and you have to fear that's it for Bournemouth. Kane might not have got the goals this season before this game, but he's still looked sharp for me. I was never worried he wouldn't rediscover that touch."

Normal service resumed for Tottenham, who are happy enough to keep possession in the Bournemouth half of the field.

One thing that Bournemouth must look to do in the second half is get more support to strikers Josh King and Glenn Murray.

Two of those goals came in Tottenham's last away fixture in the Premier League - a 2-2 draw at Swansea on 4 October.

Given Tottenham's dominance in the first half, and Eriksen's excellent scoring record on the road, it's a surprise not to see his name on the scoresheet.

"When his players go in Eddie Howe can't be too negative or down with them, but inside he'll be hurt. He won't be happy with the manner of the way his side have conceded. They have got to keep going and try to get the next goal and make it a nervous end for Tottenham. On the evidence of what we've seen it is more likely to be a Spurs goal, though."

Half-time at The Vitality Stadium, and Spurs have a two-goal lead.

Matt Ritchie put Bournemouth ahead inside the first minute, but a Harry Kane penalty levelled matters.

Mousa Dembele side-footed Spurs in front, before a howler from Artur Boruc presented Erik Lamela with an easy third.

Bournemouth so close - twice - to getting a goal back just before half-time.

First, Marc Pugh is denied on the line by Toby Alderweireld. Then Josh King curls a shot against the far post from 12 yards.

If nothing else, it gives Bournemouth hope for the second half.

"Bournemouth look a bit laboured towards the end of this half. Any real fluency from them just appears to have evaporated. It's difficult for Eddie Howe to change things. If he pushes Josh King forward they will probably get done in midfield. Maybe go three at the back, and five in midfield? He has to do something because the game is getting away from them."

Dele Alli drags a shot from distance well wide of the Bournemouth goal.

That came after Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris showed some nifty footwork to get away from a Bournemouth attacker inside his own penalty area.

Tottenham's midfield pair of Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele have seized control of this match. Every time the ball is in the middle of the pitch, it's usually one of those two either in possession or winning it back for the visitors.
