Phillip James: We're taking a Christmas Palm tree to a game tomorrow for Central Coast Mariners game. You should look at our kit.

Jamie Vardy made a name for himself with his performance in Leicester's 5-3 win over Manchester United last season and Louis van Gaal says the Foxes forward is a "nasty player".

"He was already last year a very nasty player for us. He scores, he provoked a penalty and now he is scoring in a row 10 goals so now you are a great player," says the Dutchman.

"I only know, for example, Dennis Bergkamp as a player with me who did the same with Ajax and that is not so easy."

Asked if he would consider signing Vardy, Van Gaal replies: "That is not your business, I think."

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy will attempt to become the first player to score in 11 successive Premier League games when he takes the field against Manchester United today.

Our colleagues in the Midlands have started a #goodluckvardy campaign on social media, wishing the England striker well before this Saturday's match against Manchester United.

One man not getting carried away by title talk for Leicester is their manager Claudio Ranieri as he rebuffed Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's claim the Foxes are in with a shout of claiming the top-flight crown.

"Thank you to Arsene but he's a joker. He knows the truth very well," said the Italian.

"The league is very strange and open but our goal is 40 points."

Ranieri added: "Our goal at the moment is this but let me see the next two months and then maybe I change the goal.

"Like everybody else I am also curious in these days to watch my team, and to see how we respond in these big matches."

  9. Can Leicester win the title?published at 09:20

Leicester v Man Utd (17:30 GMT

Right, let's get going with a bit of Leicester v Man Utd chat.

The Foxes are the surprise Premier League table toppers going into today's games but can they keep it up and go on to shock the football world by winning the top flight title?

"Of course, you cannot rule them out," said Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal added: "It is possible, I think."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "It seems Leicester can do everything. They fly through the league at this moment and it is deserved. It's a brilliant job what they do. The whole league is full of respect for them."

    There's a simple equation we'll be following before today's games and it's:

News stories + newspaper back pages + in-depth analysis of matches + get involved topic + any other business = Saturday morning build-up.

Leicester v Man Utd (17:30 GMT)

Reflection done...good. That's about as much time as you get to reflect on events in the fast-paced world of Prmier League football. Today, Leicester can continue the fairytale when they face Manchester United in the late game at 17:30 GMT as the Premier League's top two meet at the King Power Stadium.

Last season's fixture finished 5-3 in favour of the Foxes in one of the most thrilling games of the campaign, so a repeat will do nicely.
